But there was tons of corruption in the Churches during the Middle Ages. That's worth spending 5-10 minutes if you're interested in what went on during that time period.
2011 Norway attacks? String of abortion clinic bombings in the US in the 90s? Lord's Resistance Army in Uganda? Obviously the majority of modern day religion-related terrorism is Islamic (or rather tangentially Islamic), but your exaggeration is not helpful at all.
After reading this I don't know if you are mentally deficient or truly just trolling. There was no translation from religionofpeace.com, the translations came from the official Quran.com that has the translations as well as the Arabic. http://quran.com/5 Quran 5:32 Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one - it is as if he had saved mankind entirely. And our messengers had certainly come to them with clear proofs. Then indeed many of them, [even] after that, throughout the land, were transgressors. And this... Man corrupted the church in the Middle Ages sure, no arguments there, but the difference is no where in scripture can the church find justification for it's actions. Even through the crusade times, they may have wore a cross on their shields, but could never rightly yell, 'In Jesus name' when killing because there is no scripture that justifies it, & no where did Jesus give orders to kill your enemy. That's the difference.
I refuse to look at that website or read any content from there. It sounds biased and it gets no traffic for a "media outlet" even if they just regurgitate news from other sources. I'm sorry, either post a different source or learn Arabic and post the translations yourself.
Are you all there mate? Lights on but no one home? I posted the Arabic & the translations along with the Official Quran website where they were sourced, and as an Aussie with A Dutch-Indonesian father & Iraqi Assyrian mother I speak Aramic / Assyrian & understand Arabic. All translations posted are from official translations, not religion of peace.
I tend to treat your posts in the D&D like DDs posts and skip over them. You lost a lot of credibility failing to cite your source, then posting more from TROP.com.
You could possibly be the dumbest person on this entire board. Seriously. You have either taken trolling to another level, or are that dimwitted that you actually believe what you post is comprehensible. One last time, then I'm over it mate. The Quran verses are taken from http://quran.com/ This is the source of verses from the Quran. It has the verse in Arabic and either with tashkeel or without tashkeel. It includes Tafsir ( الجلالين ), and has the authorised English Translations from: Sahih International Muhsin Khan Pickthall Yusuf Ali Shakir Dr. Ghali It also has the Quran translated into many other languages. Anyway, I'm over it & tired of going over the same thing over and over again in the D&D... Happy New Year, God bless & just be good to each other, no matter what your religion or race is.
Idiots who believe in books written thousands of years ago and dumb asses who argue one religion is more peaceful then the other should be deported to Mars.
Izak is humiliating Wiggins in this thread. Izak is bringing fact and logic to the table, Wiggins is operating more based on emotion, which is less compelling.
I am not trying to justify the actions people take in the name of Islam in anyway, but to point to and say "This is Islam" is wrong, very wrong. I was going to respond earlier but didn't have time...it is a very complicated process. Islam was unified very rapidly, by a small group of people. Before Saudi Arabia was collections of tribes, each with different interpretations of Islam. Some more fundamentalist some more liberal. Fast forward...Abdul Aziz bin Saud, decides he will unify the different tribes by defeating them in battle. He recruits the Ikhwan who are hardcore fundamentalist Muslim. They are know for their skill in battle so promises them the kingdom will be ruled with strict fundamentalist ideals. Yada Yada conquer all this stuff makes Saudi Arabia. Ikhwan want to continue to conquer surrounding contries, but King Aziz bin Saud knows it is a conflict with british. Ikhwan call out the leadership. This is a very important moment. The royals have to turn to specific portions of the Quran to justify their actions to stop conquer. This is also the first time a "cult" movement of fundamentalist Muslims revolted against its government. I will continue later, but this cycle repeats itself for the next 80 years. Gov. hypocrisy more conservative revolt.
I don't understand what mental deficiency you have, but it's clear this is just all religious fanatic talk. Who honestly believe one religion makes more sense than the other ? Fanatics.
The only reason that you don't read my posts is that you might actually learn something, & your afraid that your brain might go into absolute meltdown if you added even an ounce of intelligence to your dormant grey matter. There is a reason why there are very few rebuttals or challenges to my posts in this thread, those that posed the questions to me can't argue with the facts or dispute the evidence. (and YOU can't handle the truth.) I know it's hard for you to deal with, but just once try and put forward and argument to the facts & verses put forward, instead of just posting nonsensical drivel.
Andrew Wiggens, you have to do better than "out of context" and "other people do it". It seems like the only arguments that Muslim apologists present are those two. I used to be like you Wiggens. Then I realized I sounded like a broken record that just mimicked what every other Muslim apologist said. By all means practice Islam. I have zero issue with people practicing any religion as long as they don't infringe on other's rights. However that doesn't change how annoyed I feel when someone blabbers "religion of peace" when describing Islam. Islam is one of the last religions that can accurately use that statement.
