There's some other stuff about Marbury there, but here's the interesting part...

Cross the Bulls off that list. Forget it.

So if he's not interested in Miami, it's either stay with the Knicks or one of the LA teams. After losing Dwight, the Lakers would dump D'Antoni in a minute if Melo would come.

If he hasn't been able to lead the Knicks anywhere, why would it be any different somewhere else. Dude is a loser.

"The source said the Clippers — with buddy Chris Paul — are more attractive than the Lakers, "

well, that is news to me.

Do the Clips even have the means of getting Melo?

Melo does well when he's not the first option and willing to play behind someone, like how he was in the Olympics. Maybe Kobe can do that for him.

he would be no.2 on those teams instead of no.1.

Chicago would give Melo the best shot at a championship because they have the defense in place to cover up Melo's defensive deficiencies, but what would Chicago give up? If they were to gut their roster to acquire Melo in a sign and trade, they wouldn't have the personnel to play Thibs' defense. And Chicago's cheap.

Love to NY is a longshot at best. Love is going to LA. Melo probably stays in NY, keeps losing, but makes his millions.

I really want to see Melo on the Lakers. He and Kobe, as well as their respective gigantic contracts, deserve each other. That would be a mediocre team with no upside.

Not unless he wants to take a massive salary cut. The Clippers wouldn't think of unloading Griffin or even DJ just to bring in Melo and they, along with Paul, are eating most of the cap.

no way he goes to the lakers to play for pringles and kobe. it would be the same as the knicks. an old team on the way down.

the clippers are interesting but would they part with blake for him? probably not. and they probably can't afford melo any other way.

the bulls seem like the best option. if he could force a S&T there, the bulls have pieces the knicks might actually want.

It would be funny if Melo ended up in Houston ... by trade deadline.

Unless Chicago does some major unloading of contracts, I don't see that.

I also don't see LAC. They'll be paying CP3 and Blake.

Seems like it's really between LAL and NYK. At this point, I think NYK is more likely.

Bulls could trade deng and prob a few fillers or they could just wait and amnesty boozer and let deng expire and sign him over summer.
