When researching quarterbacks, most scouts tend to look at accuracy, mechanics, velocity, pocket presence and performance in high stakes games over level of competition. But besides, he did carve up #3 Florida's elite defense in a BCS Bowl last season.
Do you mean the same way the Texans evaluated David Carr with the weak competition he faced...???? How did that work out...? And Florida had fell waaayyyyy off by the time they made it to the bowl game...
Just in case any of you missed Bridgewater's flawless performance against Miami in the bowl game. (there are some defensive highlights, but the majority of the footage is all about Teddy) <iframe width="1280" height="720" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/ryDv-RdXdT4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> His poise in the pocket is rare, as is his pin-point accuracy. Just love how he feels the pressure and moves around in (and out) of the pocket (4:02 and 8:14 is special). This young man is supremely gifted. On top of that, he's a winner on the field and in the classroom.
What I like about Teddy Football....is that he's played in a pro style offense for a couple of seasons and had the freedom to call audibles. He may not have the ceiling of some guys, but he's the most ready to play in the NFL right now.
A Bridgewater, Carr comparison is ridiculous. Not only has Bridewater consistently faced better competition than Carr, they're almost completely different types of quarterbacks with highly incomparable skill-sets. They also come from vastly different types of offenses.
Manziel and Bridgewater It is like comparing a Range Rover to a decked out Toyota Tundra. Range Rover will fall apart. Tundra's last forever. Bridgewater is a stud. There is not way O'Brien will go with Johnny Football. That kid doesn't think fast enough back there.

You spout knowledge on football that is equivalent to Lin only fans perspectives on the Rockets. Teddy Bridgewater looks better. Not saying he will be better than Rodgers. No one knows that but side by side he looks eerily simular but better. Better footwork, accuracy and his more mobile.
What i've noticed from re-watching a lot of TB's games is that his receivers are wildly inconsistent. They make hard catches but then proceed to drop easy bunnies. Its amazing that his completion percentage is 71% even with his iffy receivers. I'm salivating at the thought of him throwing the ball to sure handed receivers like OD, Andre, and Hopkins.
