lol, as far as commercial commoner aviation goes, singapore is the standard bearer and is likely in the range of 25x better than ANY garbage american based airline.

Is this really something to be argued about?

It's not like these Airlines care about any of us.

Probably not, but if you're paying for a similar level of quality for a service or product, wouldn't you go with the one that gave you better customer service? It's why I banned United and stick with Frontier now.

I'd love to ban United too, but I don't want to start a new Miles program. Hate their seats/service/plane on their international flights. Domestic is fine tho.

I flew Air China this past summer. Did the direct Beijing to Houston flight on the way back. The airplanes are newer and they had like 30-40 American movies you can choose from. 30-40 Chinese movies. TV shows, etc. It was very nice.
I also flew an airline domestically while I was there and it was also very new, nice, and clean. Every seat had an Android tablet so you could watch movies, play games, etc.
    Overall really impressed.

I've flown several Chinese airlines domestically and they all seem about the same quality. The services and flight attendants are definitely nicer than US carriers but hopefully you like Chinese food, like pickled shredded radish, because that is all they serve. There are also a few strange things like showing the Airlines publicity video during the flight and the flight attendants leading the passengers in stretching.

Chinese airlines flying internationally are fine, with the country getting richer I can only see them get better. Local flights however are a little different however, you can expect strange things to happen, pushy passengers, BYO food (everyone was doing it so I brought in McDonalds lol). Nothing really to worry about.

As a big fan of Mayday airline investigation, it seems that American airlines have had more issues.

Best airlines I've used have been Singapore Airlines, Korean airline, Cathay, British Airways, Qantas and JAL.
