you're the one with the bias -- I am simply unsold on him as the first pick. I think he'll be good, but worthy of the first pick? I'm not sold yet. I voted in the poll that I wanted Clowney (who is BLACK by the way, lol)
60 pages in, now we can just stop for the next 5 months because Coach BOB is going to make the call. It will make the difference whether he is a successful NFL coach or not so, I guess he will be on top of it.
So explain. What does it take for you to see him as a 1st overall QB taken in this draft? Throughout this thread there have been stats, articles, and even testimonials of how good or bad he's had it. BTW, some people are okay with black athletes but some would rather not have a black QB leading their team, after all we do live in Texas and even honky racists love them some good ole fashion football, played the "r(w)ight way".
ok you just outed yourself. You have some kind of agenda against who you perceive to be "honky racists". You have the problem, not me. Many aren't sold on Bridgewater as the top pick, it's not like I'm the only one. One ESPN list I saw had him as the #9 overall prospect. But I guess they're all honky racists. As I've said before, I was an extreme, over the top die hard Oilers fan when they had Warren Moon as their quarterback. I was a huge Warren Moon fan. (until he beat his wife, but that was later)
Dont argue with a troll. If he sees that you're upset about a certain subject he will continue to milk the situation.
There's no agenda. You can't really believe that there is no racism at all in the state of Texas. Hell I experience it at least every day, from both sides. All I'm saying is you bring up one ranking (a BSPN ranking at that) who just recently discovered the talents of Blake Bortles and turn that into your selling point as to why we should not go after Bridgewater. As plenty have said, now that we have BO'B as our head coach, he will ultimately decide who our new franchise QB will be not you and not me. But to completely rule out the possibility of him being considered without a shred of evidence as to why, is beyond me. I'm done, obviously there's no point in bantering with narrow-minded people.
Where did I advocate Bortles over Bridgewater and I love how you surrendered when I called you out on your act. At least by doing that you admit you're wrong
Pretty good article about him. Talks about all the intangibles he has, including his ability to read defenses pre-snap and adjust play-calling / blocking on the fly, to being a savant student of the game. http://mmqb.si.com/2014/01/02/teddy-bridgewater-2014-nfl-draft/
THIS: Is surrendering? In your book? Ok. Regardless of whether you advocated Bortles over Bridgewater or not, that wasn't my point nor a statement I made in my entire post. The fact is that you have and continue to discredit Bridgewater's accomplishments by throwing out these types of posts: My point is I am all for picking the right QB between the whole lot (apparently with Manziel and Hundley declaring as well) in this draft to appoint as our franchise QB although I have no problem with people suggesting Blake, Johnny, or Brett ahead of Teddy based on what they've accumulated stat, knowledge, or athleticism wise in college. But you on the other hand are on a mission to completely tear down Teddy with no information or argument as backup, besides those unsubtle jabs in your posts.
If the Texans simply HAVE to keep the number one pick and use it _ I vote for Johnny who is black as well because with all the hate and scrutinizing he receives _ he must be black... And if the Texans are going to stick with the 3-4 I would rather have Barr over Clowney.
Oh you're still trying to dig out of your embarrassing hole even after you said you'd drop it? Your proof was that I said Bortles and UCF pulled the plug on Bridgewater's Heisman hopes? That's because they beat Louisville. Did you know that? Your agenda is obvious for all to see. You need an intervention.
Bringing up my post regarding Schaub's deal...and Cutler's new deal. Schaub at the end of 2011, beginning of 2012 was at the same level Cutler has been. Cutler's new contract: 7 years, 18 million annual salary, with 52 million guaranteed. To think that Schaub wasnt going to command 15 million on the open market is silly. The Texans FO worked that perfectly. One year into it, we actually save money on the cap by cutting Schaub (even with the 10.5 dead money). Cutler and the Bears will be together for a minimum of 4 years before any action can be taken.
Sure whatever you say. I'm done, this back and forth with you is pointless. Just letting you know your ploy hasn't gone unnoticed. You haven't replied to a single post commenting on the Louisville defense getting beat by Blake in the last seconds, so I'm not even going to bother.
I know, right... Imagine working with this guy... Yiiiikes!! I feel bad for his wife & kids. #AngryDad
