The aggies did not show up in the first half but Johnny never gave up. The leadership he showed last night was incredible. He single handedly got the team and crowed into a game that looked like a sure loss. Say what you want to say about Johnny, but you cannot deny the competitive spirit this guy has. He is a legend.

The same Duke team that entered the game in the top 25, won 10 games, and beat Miami and Va. Tech among others. But hey, keep downplaying the win. Recruits won't.

Miami and VaTech weren't very good this year. When Miami was no.7 in the polls I said it was a joke and neither team finished in the 25. VaTech football has been in decline for years. Miami lost by 27 to Louisville and VaTech lost to UCLA by 30 in bowls.

It was an exciting win for A&M over Duke but not impressive at all. Let's be real.

LOL. I respect Duke and there season. Good for them, but c'mon...

Virginia Tech and Miami were average at best, so lets not act like those are crazy impressive wins. Good for A&M for going out with a win (and I'm an SEC fan, so I root for all SEC teams), but it was not an impressive victory in the slightest.

Lulz at people trying to argue the significance or lack thereof about beating Duke. It's a non-title game. The game means nothing. TAMU could have won by 1,000 or lost by 1,000 and it wouldn't matter. It's a fairytale fantasy game like all the other pee-pee bowl games. If I was Mathews I would have sat out the game, no point in playing, only bad things can come from playing in that game.

So....if you lose one or two games during the regular season and are eliminated from the title game, your team should just quit? Because none of it matters?

Don't ask me, ask Saban after he lost to Utah. Not my fault there's no playoff.

To be fair, Louisville and UCLA are 17th and 18th in the rankings, respectively.

And it's really not that the Aggies won, but how they won. It's hard to come back and win the game, down 3 TDs at the half - especially with A&M's crap defense demoralized already.

But outscoring Duke 35-10 in the second half means both sides of A&M ball dug in and tried to win. I would say that's both exciting and impressive.

I don't know what Sumlin and his staff said (or how much space jam water the Aggies drank at the half), but it worked.

The Aggies landed Speedy Noel today. That gives A&M the #1 player in Texas (Myles Garrett), the #1 player in Arizona (Kyle Allen), and the #3 player in Louisiana (Speedy Noil). That's insane, elite SEC recruiting!

    And you're talking trash?

    SMH.

I'll stay classy. Good luck in finding a new coach. UT needs to be good again.

I didn't think the SEC would really boost A&M's recruiting or that brothas would want to go to College Station. Looks like I was wrong on both.

More like elite Sumlin recruiting. I don't know why Texas did not go after this guy.
