All good con men are good talkers and never tell it like it is. Its been a good packaging job by the celtics fraternity masquerading this scam artist as a " coach of the year" candidate.

For what McHale apologists want, MDA would definitely be better. Aside from no clue about defense, he actually implement many plays beside pushing the ball.
McHale is always saying the team needs more "energy", "pop" and "thrust". The guy is clearly running on player talent than actually coaching.
He is literally is pulling **** from his ass. timeout called Mchale: "Hey you guys smell that? I farted! smells like team spirit! amirite!? Alright now go out there and give me some Pop!"
So what exactly is McFail going to do about it? If his players aren't playing hard for him, either they're lazy or they feel they don't need to try that hard for their coach. We're nearly halfway through the season, so we're way past the point of using the "they're learning to play with each other" excuse. And injuries are no excuse either as this same group of guys won in San Antonio less than a week ago. I don't see the team getting better. They just finished the month of December with a .500 record if I'm not mistaken. That's frankly disastrous given the relatively easy schedule they had. And all we're hearing from McFail are comments about a lack of pop or too much stickyness. Is the dude coaching an NBA team or operating a soda fountain?
I can't wait until this chump is run out of town he is HORRIBLE as a coach, we need a guy who knows what the **** he is doing not some guy who is great on camera. Screw McFail he needs to go. DD
McHale was only hired as a stopgap. I hope. As a coach he is a complete clown. He doesn't actually coach. He runs practice. He isn't the only problem of course, but I'm begging for a George Karl. Please Morey look past the Celtics thing and get a real coach.
McFail was hired at a time when the Rockets weren't preoccupied with winning games. If anything, they were more interested in losing so they could develop their young talent and get higher draft lottery positioning. The problem(if you can even call it that) is that in just over a year they managed to land Harden and Howard and suddenly find themselves with a ton of talent and high expectations. Not to mention they're approaching nearly 2 decades of futility as a franchise and a restless and impatient fanbase. This team needs to win NOW and if it's become clear that McFail is a mediocre NBA coach, they better damn well find someone better no later than this upcoming offseason.
He sure seemed ready to tank when they made that ridiculous offer to Lin and had a roster of nothing more than role players(yes, that includes Kevin Martin) heading into last season before OKC handed us James Harden. Before getting Harden. that team would've been lucky to rack up 30 wins.
I hope Les is already coming up with a list of potential replacements since McHale's contract should be up at the end of season(?).
