Oh TJones. First he doesn't oop it to dwight, then he passes it to dwight with only 4 secs left which leads to a forced shot, then he blows a fast break which leads to the kings getting an easy FB bucket. What a terrible stretch for him

This is what I want from Jeremy. Play defense. Your offense is there. Just focus on defense.

Most of Isaiah's misses have from driving the paint on.dwight and jones. He's only taken 3 jumpers

Nope, this team won't make it past the first round as built. I have been pointing out our flaws even when we have won, this is not going to cut it.

This team's not going anywhere until every player is held accountable for some defensive effort.

    It's not luck. It's effort.

I would go with the latter. I'm sick of hearing the excuse "he must still be injured" everytime he plays bad D.

right now the difference in the game is Harden's poor defense. Thornton is just going off and looking like an all star- 15 at the half?!? puleeze

throw in some better FT shooting by the Rox and they'd have this game well in hand

booooooooooo! true superstars play both ways. the only one that does that is dwight, and he doesn't have enough touches!
where is the eye test for lin? playing all nba team d on isiah.had it been someone else people would want them next to otis thorpe's name on the walls.

rudy gay, 'thorn'ton and the other sg causing havoc. if something is not done, we will lose this game. we haven't lost a new year's eve game since mid 2000s or at least it seems that way.

McLemore and Thornton have 22 points combined in the 1st half.

Kings are a really bad matchup for the Rockets. If McHale puts Parsons on McLemore/Thornton (because Harden doesn't like running around screens on shooters), that would leave Harden on Gay which Gay would exploit.

Announcers are right - you can't hide Harden's D when playing the Kings.

it's a matter of effort form Harden defensively. He's shown that he can be a good defender if he actually tries. It's frustrating to see him not put any effort on defense day in and day out

Honestly, I'm not going to be that hard on Parsons. Rudy Gay has tons of length, and despite his bloated contract when he gets his shot going he's as hard to guard as anyone in the NBA.

As long as Parsons is contesting, that's really as much as you can expect. Rudy Gay can shoot and drive, so you can only do so much. You can't play too close or he drives, and his mid range can occasionally be lethal.

We have 2 very good defensive PGs. But SG is a big problem. Gay will score but Thornton?

That's alot of good guards with bad shooting nights in a row!
Seriously though, his effort is up and it makes a difference. But, the PnR help defense seems improved when they aren't tired, especially TJones when he's in with Lin. They seem to make each other better.
