What has Wade done to be liked? Dead last in turnovers, worst red zone defense in the NFL, bad coverage schemes, and among the worst in total sacks should be more than enough to get him fired, and justifiably so.

Wade also seems to have no idea how to take advantage of Watt. How could you be amongst the worst in total sacks when JJ gets double teamed every play? Get a defensive coordinator who will punish teams for doubling JJ.

John Clayton: Waiting to see if a deal gets done. Great chance that happens because the alternative is jump in on Lovie Smith or wait to talk to Ken Whisenhunt. Either O'Brien or Lovie. Matter of seeing if they can close the deal because if not, they may have to wait until next week.

NYE is actually the best day of the year, in genral, to buy a car (the model of the year that's going out).

This nonsense about not wanting to announce on a holiday is just dumb. Do you really think they care about the news cycle? The marketing department might say something but ultimately, that's not stopping a damn thing.

On Wade, hell to the no. He should already be gone. His history has always been one of starting off great in year one, while getting progressively worse in the next years...exactly what has happened here. With JJ getting constant doubles, how were Reed and Mercilous so worthless? Also, I think he's the only DC that doesn't blitz on 3rd down. I realize that McNair is a nice guy and will leave it to the incoming coach to decide if Wade, et al, should be retained. I'd be completely shocked and disappointed if any of the staff is allowed to stay.

The reason is because they want to get something done quick and can't talk to Wisenhunt until next week and are afraid of losing out on both O'Brien and Smith. Then, if Wisenhunt isn't the guy, they're f***ed.

It's really not hard... you agree to a deal then you wait to announce it. No need to rush, aside from a perceived notion that O'Brien might be waiting/talking to other teams.

I'd agree with this if it was coming from a competent franchise.

Don't sweat it as long as nothing comes out about BOB meeting with another team.
