Someone once said that excellence is a habit, not an act. Don't expect anyone (or any team) to suddenly do anything drastically different during the playoffs that they weren't already doing during the regular season.
Agreed, for the most part. Definitely still some work to be done before we can call ourselves championship material but this is a fun team to watch and definitely talented. But even if they weren't, there's no other team I could support. Go Rox!
He plays some defense, not always enough. He's 24, he's a special player. I think there's no difference in Parsons and Lin's status. Both are developing into possible all stars if you look at the season overall.
for the most part the team is good. some discipline/mentality problems. the team has to grow together. what do you notice about the top teams? their core players have played together for at least 2 years.
I dunno. Harden AND Howard go to the free throw line too much. How can you consider guys who go to the free throw line the best at their positions? Free throws are the easiest shots in the game. If you are only good at getting the easiest shot in the game and not the hardest shots in the game then you aren't very good. /stupid argument
Yeah I am not negative about the team at all and I agree that Harden is special. He's just not the best.
QFT. Harden has issues he needs to sort out before the season's end, and fortunately, there's still time for that.
Defense or no defense, Harden is still the best SG in the league right now. SG position is very weak right now, it's not exactly a strong star studded position. who's their to compete with Harden? Wade that's playing practically every other game? Aaron Affalo?
This team is soo exciting. Watching Lowry/Kmart/Scola wasn't fun for me, although I cheered them on every game
Sg is the weakest position in the league right now. Harden really plays PG for the rockets bev/Lin pg so I compare harden to PGs. So that's take the best SG with a grain of salt
It was GREAT to watch them fight every night. Could always count on that group hustling their asses off no matter the talent disparity. But at the end of it all, I knew, I hope everyone knew we would never win anything.
Harden's defense hasn't been that bad for the most part lately, too many people visualising the times he gets beaten where he doesn't foul like most players do to him as the sign of his defense all the time.
On paper, we're awesome, but I fear we're wasting one of Howard's prime years. Not as impressed with Harden as last year - I think it may be injury. Just doesn't seem to attack the basket as hard & settles for contested threes. Really nervous we're going to squander these prime years of Howard and Harden - remember how fast TMac & Yao's prime went by.
To be honest, if injuries were never a problem / too major, TMac and Yao would have been Finals contenders every year.
