Wasn't he coaching when Case Keenum rang up 540 yards passing on his number seven in the country Penn State defense? That had to make a memory.

Oh, O.K., if true that would have been really interesting. He has probably seen the film.

No. He was hired about a week after that game. Tom Bradley, the DC under Paterno, coached the last 3 games plus the bowl game after Paterno was dismissed. He resigned when he was passed over for the HC job.

I think he would be a great fit for the Texans. Really like his demeanor. Word is that he is exceptionally (football) smart, practical, tough but not mean, creative, and innovative. What else do we want?

His players quit on him when they were 2-3 and you think that's a positive for him?

    Cleveland will not hire O'Brien.

I would hate for this to drag out much longer. Hope there's at least a definitive announcement made tomorrow.

I think it was a culture problem, they knew the offense was just giving wins away no matter how good the D played. Then Cush and Arian got hurt and the players saw Kubiak wasnt holding people accountable. So they gave up on the season, and just worried about themselves.

Wade isn't that fiery guy, he is a great defensive coach though, and It's not like those are falling off of trees. Sure he is to blame for this season but I'm not sure there are much better defensive coaches out there who are going to want to be our defensive coordinator.

If we had a halfway decent offense this year we would probably be in the playoffs, the Colts D is bad but they won the division. I never thought our D was why we lost games this year.

The real story is how the best candidates won't consider the sorry Browns.

I found weird that nobody is saying that other teams are looking to interview Bill O'Brien.

Cleveland already said NO to Bill, Tampa Bay and Washington wants Lovie Smith
Vikings has an eye on Cardinals defense cordinator Browles.

Maybe they know Texans already agreed with him, so they already move on from that candidate or they dont like him.

Before BOB to Houston rumors strengthened to the point they are today, weren't a bunch of teams looking to interview him?

I remember several tweets saying BOB was the most prized coaching candidate right now.

Well, there was already reportedly an agreement between O'Brien and the Texans (albeit not a contract) before any other team fired their coach. That might have something to do with it.

The Browns are a joke. They come out and say that they fired Chudz because they don't think they hired the "right guy." Well, if they won't even re-consider other candidates from last year, that means they're also admitting that they don't think they even interviewed the "right guy" and just made the wrong choice. That anybody they could've hired last year would've been the "wrong guy". How messed up is that? To basically tell your fan base "we made a bad decision hiring our last HC. But don't worry, anybody we would've hired would've sucked too because we didn't bother looking at anybody we now think could've been a good HC for this team. But trust us. We'll find the 'right guy' this time."
