    His brother got a one year NBA deal despite having D-League talent. He should be thanking the Knicks for wasting a roster spot on his bro

    Clearly JR's brother was signed as some sort of side deal. JR must be upset because that was one of the incentives for him re-signing with the team.

    While your question was obviously rhetorical, I think so. He likely turned down better offers to stay, as long as they gave his brother a job too. It was clearly a part of their deal and I doubt the Knicks did it for no reason.
