It's gonna be fun to see a lot of people misspelling his name. :)

The Texans are better off by letting Wade go... he should be let go based on defensive performance by itself, but even more reason to let him go when starting fresh with a new regime.

I'm all for Bill O'Brien... and I want him to have a decent say in personnel. I do not want Rick Smith having all that power AND attempting to manage the bad cap situation that he created.

Smith's biggest job right now should be to secure O'Brien signs... I'll commend him for that... and then he can be fired.

Wade's blitz happy scheme would do wonderful with a New England type offense.

    No, we don't.

That is purely based on yards/game... which is skewed because it doesn't take into account points allowed, doesn't take into account penalty yards, and doesn't take into account lack of turnovers forced.

Texans just had the second worst season EVER in terms of forcing turnovers (with the record belonging to a team during a strike shortened season).

They were also the worst red zone defense this year.

They were bad... and have regressed each of two years enough to question what exactly is salvageable with this defense (basically, Watt and Cushing are the only guys this team can't reasonably look to replace)

Not even close. They make look decent this year yardage-wise, but this defense was historically bad at forcing turnovers and in red zone defense. They gave up a ton of points. It was painfully obvious how bad they were just by watching them.

Penn State DC last year. Left to be DC at Georgia Tech, his alma mater.

GT is playing Ole Miss on ESPN right now.

    No NFL experience.

Fewest turnovers forced in NFL history. Seriously. Worst ever. EVER!
