What do you think their record will be over this 7 game stretch? Tomorrow, the 31st, the Rockets play at home against the Kings. After getting dominated by OKC, the Rockets will come out strong. Then they get 2 days of rest before playing at home against the Knicks. Then they get FOUR days of rest before playing at home against the Lakers. Then they get a day of rest before playing at the Hawks and Wizards in a back to back. Then a day of rest and play at Boston, then another day of rest before playing at New Orleans. So to recap: 12/31 vs. Kings 1/3 vs. Knicks 1/8 vs. Lakers 1/10 @ Atlanta 1/11 @ Washington 1/13 @ Boston 1/15 @ New Orleans Only one back to back, and luckily the road trip is against bad Eastern Conference teams.
A winning streak a this point would be huge. Getting blown out by good times is tough to watch but in the end those kinds of things happen during the regular season, especially when the team is overworked playing four games in five nights. Getting those W's against inferior teams is what is important during the regular season imo, can't be having those losses like against Utah, Sac earlier in the year, etc. By all means they should go on a nice winning streak here or at least 6-1.
I would love to, but this team just seams too inconsistent. Some nights it seems like we are the worst team in the league the way we play, other nights we are world beaters. San Antonio and OKC never look as low we look sometimes. To be fair we have some new parts and even the greatest player on the planet didnt win his first year with the "big 3" so i will give us some time.
Nothing is a given with this team. The Rox could win all 7 of these games but I wouldn't be surprise if they were to go 2-5 in these games as well. We should know by now that Rox are not to be trusted in games they should win. They should get tired of being accused of lacking effort in games like this. If the Rox style of play is wearing them down which is causing them not to give a consistent effort, that's even more reason to diversify and run more set plays, rotate players better, etc... but again that gets into the subject of coaching...
Easier schedule than the last supposed win streak we were supposed to go on (that fizzled @Utah). Nothing is guaranteed though, SAC, WAS and NO could all potentially steal a game.
I'd expect them to beat OKC the next time around, so this could be, or should be, a 9 game winning streak.
Good possibility to go 7-0, more realistically 6-1, ill be ok with 5-2 but disappointed with 4-3 or worse
THEY SHOULD. But they most likely won't. They are not tough enough and are not coached well. If we had Rick Adelman and Shane Battier or Luis Scola, Kyle Lowry, maybe? But our players with that never give up attitude have been traded, some unnecessarily. Dwight wants to act like a kid out there and we don't have a leader. So unless they have a huge wake up call, look for them to lose to lesser teams regardless of injuries because they lack heart.
