Me personally, I'm sticking this one on DMo. I knew the game was over as soon as he stepped on the floor.

Giving up a full court alley-oop?? seriously?? Worst player ever.

I thought this was a tough grueling week, so this loss was expected. It was the 5th game in 7 nights and the back end of a back to back at OKC, so there was low energy and poor shooting from all the starters…they just looked a step slow all night. It was the worst game this week for both of Houston’s starting guards…Lin couldn’t cover any of the guys he switched onto, and Harden looked like he wanted to take a nap when the man he was on ran by him. After having stellar games, Howard & TJones disappeared, and even Parsons, the team glue was underwhelming at best. At the starters got rested before some of them hit the 35 or 40 minute mark again.

The only guys with energy were the bench, and AB made the most of it, outscoring everyone on the team, even nailing a half court 3 before the quarter ended. Finally got to see Canaan play…he looks smaller than I expected. Onto the next game.

    McHale is a jock
The team needs a system, anyone can play in the system, win or lose is OK

I understand the rockets are going to lose but man, you can't be losing that bad. cant stand watching the rockets make really low % shots or try to jack 3's to shoot their way back in.

They are much too critical. Nothing was going right because the players who played major minutes the last three or four games were exhausted. Their shots were short and they looked like they had rocks in their feet.

Hey man, why do feel the need to be so consistently negative?

Sure I'm disappointed with tonight's ugly loss, but as many have already said, 4th game in 5 nights against a rested elite team... let's cut the players some slack. :p

Thank you for this reasonable post. Before everyone starts jumping up and down, 4 games in 5 nights and on the road against the WC leaders + heavy minutes and physical and emotional wins in the last 3 games this was always going to be tough to win.

I would have been more upset if we lost to PHX or some other team below us after a day's rest

When you have a scheduled loss like this one, this is the time to rest up the starters. Keep the PT to shorter stretches and see if they are feeling it. If they aren't, develop the bench. But make the bench players run sets, not just crack up shots.

The good teams have chemistry...You can't build chemistry with iso play. Rockets need an offense. Playground ball isn't going to work against the good teams.
