It's your lucky day! Turns out we have the best backup center in the league on our very team (he's just injured right now, and frowns a lot)!!

it might be due to that fact he's still injured and he's settling for 3's instead of driving

That's because he has been injured the whole season so far.

so is asik definitely done with the rockets? It's confirmed that he will not play off the bench under any circumstance? Or is his injury really that bad?

Garcia hasn't been money lately.....shooting 3s is always like free throws for him. I wonder what's happening to his stroke.

They are saying he has a knee injury. Every time he ups his training load, it swells up.

He knows he is gone at the deadline and knows not playing only hurts. I think he will get health, play then get dealt.

I hope that he wil stay a rocket and will play in the playoffs.
he can be the diffrance between a secound round exit, and going all the way.

Asik is very important to the team and to the bench, we need him, and this
situation if it's not injury, is very bad for the team.

Clutch win! So impressed with JLin's defense the last 3 games, it's downright boss status.

Now, everyone gather 'round and let's all collectively send the Jazz good vibes!
I know y'all hate it but we need the Clippers to lose.
Utah only behind 1 point with 3 minutes left!!!

Awesome to look at the remaining schedule and see we only have 3 road games left against teams above (or tied with) us in the west.

Remember Harden's 3P% wasn't too good at the beginning of last year either... he got it rolling as the season went on.

As far as what we need... well... we already have a big three, it seems... Harden, Dwight, and Parsons who has morphed into our third star. Backup wing/backup PF/backup C seem to be the three biggest needs.

There is a sentiment that McHale and the coaching staff is tired of him.

    THIS.

    Plus D
    :

Check out all Rockets' 3-man-lineups for tonight's game sorted by DefRtg

Omri Casspi features in all first 10 of them - 10/10!...
(He's actually in all 13 best DefRtg lineups)

It's true that these lineups mostly faced 2nd unit guys,
but no question Omri brings defensive intensity to the field.

    And Garcia?
His 3pt shooting will come around, don't worry.

    :)

Wouldn't you be tired when a guy who seemed to breathe professionalism last year turned into a diva overnight? Maybe Asik just needs to eat a Snickers.

    Hopefully after all-star break.

But what this team really needs right now is a strengthened bench unit such that Harden doesn't need to constantly be on the court.

Jones plays well because he plays with energy and is aggressive. Defenders don't sag off on Beverly. New Orleans still double teamed Dwight and teams will regardless of if Lin or Bev are playing.

Now have you seen the bench go to **** since Lin started again? The bench NEEDS Lin.

Jones played his best basketball when Beverly was starting back when he broke into the starting line-up.

Jones started to struggle when we had a stretch of the best power forwards in the game going against Jones and it was to much for him.

I wouldn't say Parsons is #3. Instead, I'd say that we have several guys who can fairly reliably be that #3 on any given night - Parsons, Lin, Jones. And even Brooks and Garcia make an occasional appearance.

Parsons is borderline star/all-star. But he's not on the same level as Dwight and Harden.
