Wasn't she in like a bud light commercial? I remember that name because I was curious who the super hot girl was in that commercial (that sounds way creepier than I want that to sound). Sorry. I just can't remember the commercial (I think it was a few years ago). Let me go check youtube: ...5 minutes later: found it. It was a miller light commericial: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/gTdzRaw55zo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Honestly, no bad intention at all, and I still don't see the problem. Where exactly do you see a breach of privacy or trust or whatever? Again, Batman Jones posted the reel video and his connection to her publicly on Facebook (would have been easy to set it to only visible to his Facebook friends - I am not his Facebook friend, just saw it because one of my Facebook friends commented and liked it) - so no privacy issue there. Batman Jones never made a secret of his offline identity on Clutchfans - no privacy issue either. Batman Jones is proud of his sister (rightly so!) and, judging by him posting it publicly on Facebook, apparently wants to spread the word - no privacy issue there either. So, unless you think the average Clutchfan is way creepier than the average person on Facebook (will be the same people anyway), I don't understand your problem. But nice to see you posting again, anyway.
See no problem with posting someone's publicity reel. I think they're just yanking your chain. Don't worry about it.
I've been in contact with Batman Jones and he said he mostly just lurks in the GARM. He hasn't been lurking in the Hangout or other forums so probably won't see this. He was banned over a dispute with Clutch about giving more voice to those who were pissed at Comcast over showing the Rockets. As far as this thread I think it wouldn't have been creepy if the OP had titled it "Batman Jones has a really Talented sister" On second thought that still would've been creepy.
I don't see one, I just see poor taste/judgement (once again, despite intention). It basically amounts to "just because you can do something does not mean you should." If I posted something about one of my family members to facebook (publicly) and it ended up here, posted by someone I am not actually facebook friends with, I would be a little upset about it. Granted, I open myself up to it by my lack of control of information on my page, but I'd still feel skeezed out about it... especially if it was so that everyone could leer at my sister. If this were my sibling, I'd want someone to ask me if they could make a thread about it first. I don't expect anybody to go take pictures in front of her house with a child's doll or anything, but Clutchfans has enough creepage (as do most anonymous BBSes) to make a thread like this a probably less than good idea. That's all.
She is going to debut as Plastique on tonight's episode of CW's The Flash: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/TheFlash?src=hash">#TheFlash</a>'s' Plastique is not like the comics but still a 'supervillainess' <a href="https://twitter.com/TheFlashPodcast">@TheFlashPodcast</a> <a href="http://t.co/GDJlgZwg4W">http://t.co/GDJlgZwg4W</a> <a href="http://t.co/9h4iptUlRW">pic.twitter.com/9h4iptUlRW</a></p>— Zap2it (@Zap2it) <a href="https://twitter.com/Zap2it/status/532050865276715008">November 11, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"> </script>
Yes, I would say at least control is in order. But congrat's to Batman's sister -- that is really a cool break for her, because the show seems fairly popular (and well made).
This is pretty neat. Congrats to her for a big prime time gig. Will be watching as I already enjoy the show.
