If I remember correctly he led the league in rebounding last season (like 14 a game) before he got injured.
Oh, so what about Vince Carter? Or Elton Brand? What about their body of work...oh wait, they are over the hill and nearing ol' yeller status...like KG. No one wants KG, he is SO washed up.
There's no source indicating that Bynum is being released. However, here's an interesting article from ESPN... http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/10205361/next-step-andrew-bynum As usual, it's looking like there's more than one side to this story....
I must be talking to someone in an alternate universe because the one I am in, KG is 5 years past his prime, and thats being generous. He isnt worth his contract.
Thanks for the article. I stand corrected. - Cavs can't suspend him without pay - He is a valuable trade asset But I still think Cavs will never give a 2014 1st pick for any trade involving Asik / Bynum. We're dreaming.
Past prim and above average serviceable starter on a contender are very different.....get back in your time machine then! its easy to say now considering his situation.BX sucks
The Rockets need to make a trade for Bynum yesterday. We are going to need a rebounding presence off the bench. Bynum's attitude will change once he is in a winning environment.
I wouldn't be so sure a guy who is disinterested due to being on a losing team will be happy to be a bench player
There's no way of knowing that. I don't want any part of Bynum unless we also get a pick. Asik is exactly what the Cavs need and everyone knows it.
well that Sam Amico guy from Fox Sport Ohio tweeted the Cavs will drop him because there is no interest, and if they dont do it in a few weeks, his contract becomes guaranteed.
trading for Bynum is similar risk to taking Royce White, they definitely need to include a 1st round pick for Rockets to take that risk
Well, he listed the Clippers as one of his preferred destinations, and on the Clippers he'd be the back up behind DeAndre Jordan. So unless he thinks he'll be the starter on the Clippers, I think he's not necessarily opposed to playing the back up for the right team. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. As for the post re: Amico, there was actually two tweets regarding the position of the Cavs...

#NBA sources now telling @FOXSportsOH teams not interested in Andrew Bynum and that #Cavs will release him before contract is guaranteed.
— Sam Amico (@SamAmicoFSO) December 28, 2013

Just to clarify, not yet known if "no one wants" #Cavs Bynum. But is clear today no one wants to trade for him. Again, as of today. #nba
— Sam Amico (@SamAmicoFSO) December 28, 2013
So, the Cavs are saying right now that if there isn't interest they'll release him, however there's time until Jan. 7 so I wouldn't be surprised if they end up trading him. As for releasing him by Jan. 7, I also think that's something we won't know for sure until Jan. 7. It's a long way to go from talk about releasing him on Jan. 7 and actually releasing him on Jan. 7 for nothing...
It's been reported that Bynum had been suspended indefinitely for detrimental conduct. Only the first half of his $12m first year contract is guaranteed. Of course the Cavs wants to trade Bynum to get something back but which team wants him? If Bynum is not traded it is most likely he will be dropped.
