You can take college and university courses online for free......

....although you won't receive an official college credit, but rather a certificate of course completion and the like, even though it may differ with each program/college offering the course. I think this is pretty cool. You can use this for enrichment purposes if that is your thing, or actually prepare for a course you are actually going to take at an accredited university. Or you can try this out to see how you fare without the risk of putting all that money into it. Do it if you get bored. Ultimately it can't hurt and you have nothing to lose, so why not? I like this user comment, "An educated population is better than an ignorant one. Even if no official credit is earned for these courses, it's wonderful that they're available. Knowledge itself is a reward." I'm going to look into this right now.
