He looks like a wackjob in that photo. I don't like the guy one bit after all the crap he's pulled over his career.

@WojYahooNBA: About Bynum suspension, league source tells Yahoo: "He doesn't want to play basketball anymore. He never liked it that much in first place."

I wonder if the Cavs will ask and try to trade for Asik now...

Yeah, Asik sounds far more realistic now.

A bit unexpected though. His contract is mostly non guaranteed. If he's pulling a Royce White, then he's risking to lose close to 20 mil.

So glad the Rockets didn't go after him. Many on this forum were pro Bynum. How could the pro-Bynum folks NOT see he didn't care about being a good player.

Only 6 million is guaranteed until Jan 7, then it becomes fully guaranteed. None of the second year is guaranteed.

Cavs will probably move soon on this to save 6 million dollars.

Never liked playing basketball, really? Really don't want any part of this guy. If an incentive laced contract, and future contracts can't cause you to play hard nothing will.

Some other people on twitter have said this, but honestly it is likely that Andrew never wanted to be a basketball player. He probably got pressured to go into it due to his size. It's a shame because he could have been great, but on the other hand who are we to force someone to do something he didn't like doing? Cause of this game his body has been riddled with injuries as well.

So i guess that means the Cavs are now in need of a Center, im here crossing my fingers hoping the demand for a C rises sky high come February.

What would we need from CLE, aside from Dion Waiters? Would they be willing to give up a pick?

    1. if they waive him we can pick him up for cheap as a backup C, I watched a few cavs game he still rebounds and plays D well & can score In the post. Perfect for 15 mins here & when Howard gets in foul trouble.

    2. Trade asik for him and someone else, he isn't guaranteed anything money next year & they may take a hurt asik right now.

    Shocking! Not.

The only surprise here is that Bynum didn't wait until after Jan. 10th to come out with this. I told you he was done. Who was it that insisted Cleveland would never trade him?

Bynum + 2 picks for Asik could make a lot of sense. Especially if they negotiate a $7 million buyout to be executed at the trade deadline. That is if we can't squeeze Varejao plus 2 picks.

There are 2 players with $6 million guarantee on $12 and $12.25 million deals, Hedo and Bynum. Don't be surprised if 1 or both of them agrees to a buyout of $7 million to be executed on Feb. 21st. I'm not saying it's absolutely going to happen. I'm saying it's a possibility and don't be surprised if it does happen.

Yep asik and a pick sound good to me for him. Im sure morey is trying to work something out right now since cavs were already after asik, now he can hit them up for a pick also.

Hrmm... if Bynum is done with Cleveland, trading him for Asik and getting some picks back isn't the worst thing.

Bynum is high value as a potential expiring, and he wouldn't be a terrible option as a back up. The reduced minutes and role as well as the more relaxed/fun atmosphere of the Rockets locker room might be exactly what he needs.

Casspi and Dwight love playing for the Rockets. Delfino said he'd never had so much fun in the NBA.

Might not be a bad trade to be made...
