Horford suffers full pectoral tear

Yeah,it's really a shame he is a Great PF (basically a smaller Version of Marc Gasol) and he Said he would like to Play next to Asik.

Morey is now gonna get his full worth from Atlanta on any deal. Asik with Horford would ve tremendously allowed Horford to focus on scoring, and Asik is a terrific/smart defender in the post. Forcing Horford to play center really has hurt Atlanta...This is the second pectoral injury he's had..dont know how he is gonna recover from this by this year...

 

Morey is gonna tear Atlanta a new one. This year with the East being historically bad, the Hawks will have chance to make some noise in the playoff more so than any other year. They are in a dire position to maintain their standing right now, and Asik is perfect for them.

 

But Asik is still injured, he won't be able to help the Hawks immediately.

Hawks arent stupid enough to trade for a big guy with an unresolved leg issue are they?

Leg injuries to big guys can end their career.

If I were Danny Ferry, the first thing I'd do is to remind myself and everyone in the management not to make a panic trade. Maybe nothing has changed in the big picture. This team isn't likely to be a contender this year even with Horford and is good enough to at maybe make the playoffs even without him. Maybe just play the string out and see what happens.

This really changes the pecing order in the East.

 

Nikola Pekovic had a Pec muscle tear last season (No pun intended). It seems to happen a lot to Centers and big men who rebound a lot.

 

I wonder if the doctor said the same thing when he told Nikola the bad news. "No pun intended, Mr. Pekovic, but you just tore your pec muscle." "Really, doctor? How fitting!"

Are there more examples of it? I'd hardly say that two players going down with the injury condemns all rebounding bigmen
