There is nothing being said here that someone (probably a coach) hasn't already told him. Everyone should chill out.
They showed it after the game on TNT kenny asked to show it again in slow mode, him, Ernie & Charles were talking about how it looked like a DR.J layup Kenny smith ""People can say what they want about Lin, but I really like his game he's always looking to push"" -once Lin works on his turnovers with still being aggressive & not jumping or stopping in the lane without knowing his next move, he has the potential to be a solid top 10pg, his 3, midrange, defense, floor vision, elite passing skills are there already, just the bad looking turnovers have to go down.
Let's not kid ourselves, if the internet in its current form was around for Dr J. and MJ there would be people nit picking about their finishes too. "Should have two hand dunked it". "Should have done the lean in". "360 works better there". "Not enough tongue extension".
I have a video from my phone from about 10 rows back on the side of this lay up. Crowd goes pretty crazy. How would I upload it on here?
Manu goes left and/or finishes left *almost* every time and defenders know this, yet he's made quite a career. I'd rather Jeremy make layups period. That way, we can have more GIFzzzzzz
You have no clue how to play basketball. Lin wisely used the rim as protection and was well controlled. Not sure why we're even debating a freaking layup.
Well Lin does convert a league leading 63% of his shots in the paint so I will take his typical out of control finishes any day!
there is a reason it is called a "reverse" layup in the first place. whether intentional or not, the original look is to finish on one side (the right) and fake and finish on the other side. first layup, he's coming from the right side so there's no "using the left hand" on that layup. he needed it in his right hand because that is the hand away from the defenders. switching hands in mid jump makes degree of difficulty higher not lower. second layup, he is coming from the middle of lane. note that both defenders went for his right handed layup allowing him to pull it down and reverse. if he were to go straight for left handed layup, zbo would have not gotten to it but the help defender would have.
If you think Jeremy should have used his left, try this exercise. Go for a layup and takeoff with your left foot and use your left hand. Try the same thing again but this time, use your right HAND. Which one feels more natural? If you want to use your left hand, it's much better and advantageous take off using your right leg so you can extend. Jeremy took off with his left foot on both occasions.
lol when was the last time you saw James Harden finish with his right? You finish with whatever hand makes it go in.
Very nice. As for left or right hand, who cares as long as it isn't blocked and goes in. He can use whichever hand is effective.
So beautiful....like poetry in motion. Enjoy it folks, the man is just that freaking good at making a basket in the paint against bigger/taller players. It's why he's playing in the NBA, and we're all spectating lol.
Lets face it...jeremys just not an ambiayupper. What is this...a basketball court for ants? But why no turnover?
Kenny being a former Rocket is only fair about his assessment of Lin. Besides Kenny was a guard so he knows what he is talking about. It is the haters on CF forum who need to be fairer with Lin. Lin is not superstar yet. But he is young and his upside potential is there. As long as he gets the playing time and the role to play his strength, he will get better as he is relatively a young player.
Ho Ho Ho. It is so true. The reverse lay up is a beauty in slow motion. Enjoy it. As far as I know, Lin is the only one using reverse lay ups much more than anybody else and he makes most of them. Let it be. Why not leave Lin alone when he scores on these beauties. Leave your criticism for his air balls, LOL.
with his current eFG%/TS% and defense plus improved left hand you are looking at a 10m contract and do you think Daryl would spend the money to keep him after of next season? this league got plenty promising PGs but if Lin improve as guys expecting he would be the one of few really converting potential to quality consistently and excel at certain areas, it's hard to keep both him and Parsons.
