LOL. Aren't I "supposed to be female?" Yes, I am a woman, and yes -- you are totally being a conspiracy theorist. I routinely refer to people as "sir" or "ma'am" when they say or do stupid ish... They want Asik to play next to Horford. With Horford out, do they still make the playoffs with a decent seed to not play Indiana or Miami in the first round if they give us Mislap?

I'm not sure they're quite ready for a full tank job. Also the Horford situation is resembling the Rose story now. Major injuries affecting two seasons. Will he ever be back to his best?

It's hard to see what they could offer us for Asik that doesn't make them mediocre. Still they could be involved in a three team trade helping us to land someone else we might want and they could take Asik as the Horford replacement. If they part with Milsap now they are effectively tanking. If they were in the West you could recommend tanking but in the east they have a good chance at third seed.

 

Okay, fair enough. I had my spider senses tingling in the past when you kept talking about women and their time of the month etc. Most women I know consider that hugely disrespectful and sexist. I certainly daren't bring it up in an argument with Mrs. Chemistry.

I'm paraphrasing but that's the jist of it. And even at the time it stood out to me as quite a sexist comment and I don't know many women that wouldn't see it that way.

 

I'd go back and find the series of posts if I cared enough, but that is wholly inaccurate. The guys in the thread were saying that to each other, asking if they were on their periods. What I said was that I found those comments ridiculous, given that a lot of the guys here are more emotional and dramatic than women are. That's what I said. But this is definitely not worth debating, so you're free to think what you like.

Beverely is hurt, Brooks is a 3rd stringer at best and Lin is balling. No idea why we'd want to trade both Asik and Linn for Deng unless there's more to it, i.e picks, another PG or big man, etc.

Also, I find it kind of unlikely since the Bulls' ownership is pretty tight with money and that balloon payment is an issue (how Morey got them to not match Asik in the first place).

And aren't the Bulls looking at possible cap flexibility if they let Deng go and amnesty Boozer?

And Hawks getting Asik for garbage Carroll and Brand? Really?

 

It'll probably wind up being fake but I already messed my pants---front and back---when I read it, so it's too late for me.

It is prob'ly bogus, although if it had any truth in it, there would be more to it (draft picks, other players).

As far as cap flexibility for Chicago, I thought that, too, but it's less of a sexy destination now thanks to Rose's continued injuries. Rose will have to prove he can sustain a whole season injury-free before any major free agent signs there.

 

Bogus. All this is based on speculation by some random dude back at the Asik 'deadline.' I think these sites are just picking this up now to generate clocks by throwing in Lin's name in trade rumours.

We haven't heard anything this concrete from a reputable source except maybe Lin and Asik for Rondo might have been broached.
