    non-responsive.

what exactly did mchale accomplish as minnesota timberwolves coach that you could call excellent?

The previous coaches all had championship experience (rudy t, jvg, rick adelman).

    Don't worry bro.

McHale's players loved him (I guess Lowry wasn't a player)

So even though his team could theoretically go 0-82. We as the fans - would have to be happy with that performance because McHale didn't yell at any of his players or hurt their feelings.

At the end of the day the players got their money and were happy McHale was nice to them. Therefore job done by the head coach.

That's what I'm getting out of this guys rants

And what exactly do you want from McHale? The Rockets are 20-11, despite numerous injuries, swept the Spurs at home, and have just beaten a rested Memphis team on the back half of a back to back. The guy is human and will never walk on water.

Chase Budinger, Kevin Martin, I guess those two weren't players also.

McHale is sporting a sterling 59.28% winning percentage as the Rockets coach. Did Rudy or JVG or Adleledman do that well?

I have nothing against Mchale except that he is not the most competent person for the job. He never should've been hired in the first place.

The rockets had the option of re-signing a hall of fame coach or hiring other coaches with proven competence.

The facts clearly show that Mchale is still learning on the job as he does not have the track record or work experience.

Now, we're talking about a window of opportunity to win a championship that slightly closes with each season and we're wasting time with a coach that is still learning on the job.

The question is do you think they'd be doing that badly with the team we have today.

And now you are going to tell me that Addeledman is doing a great job as the Timber wolves head coach? The man has a losing record despite having the best power forward in the game, a very serviceable center, a defensive genius and assist machine at the point guard, and KM, who is still one of the 10 best shooting guards in the league.

During Adelman's stay, he was playing with one or both of his star players (yao or tmac) out with injuries and guess what managed to attain the all-time highest winning percentage of rockets coaches.

Many teams wanted to sign him after he was let go by the rockets.

on the other hand, absolutely no team would've hired kevin mchale after his stint with the timberwolves.

The point is the Kevin Mchale hiring was never an arms length transaction as it was influenced by Daryl Morey's links to the Boston Celtics.

Absolutely. The Zen master was, by his own admission, not very good at X's and O's, was heavily dependent on his assistant coaches, but was a master of managing men. If you manage people your main job is to keep them happy and productive, striving for a common goal and functioning as a team. I speak from experience.

Any fan with a respectable knowledge of the game knows Adelman is way above Kevin Mchale.

Nothing justified Mchale's hiring. It will was a move that shows they undervalue the coaching and will haunt the Rockets.

He was described as a " sought after" coach which was never the description of Kevin Mchale around the league.

I'm as big of an RA fan as anyone, but McHale has done more with arguably less(not counting this year) the last 3 seasons. We beat the Spurs in SA twice this season. When is the last time we did that?

McHale isn't perfect but he gets our guys to play hard and share the ball. Not every coach can get his players to do that especially when they are young.
