That's the problem. It's why Harden seems to struggle in the Playoffs. When he's not getting calls it's ugly. Flopping to the floor and tossing the ball in the air looking for a call that doesn't come, fast break for the other team, rinse and repeat.

Wasn't a rule instituted because of K-mart, something about the shooting motion and not being able to swing your arms? Or was that something else? But yes I do see a contrast between how each player draws fouls. Harden beats his man off the dribble, forces them into an uncomfortable defensive position and takes advantage of bad arm placement. I have no idea how K-mart got his calls.

Harden struggles with premier defensive players like Lebron or Paul George. defensive specialists will study the match-up with Harden exclusively. Harden will have to become more of a faciliator when teams gear exclusively for him during crunch time.

I have to agree. We got home court advantage in the biggest way tonight. We still need to work out kinks in the offense when the threes are not falling.

That just means he's about to go beast mode. Same thing when he bleeds.

Also Harden at times seems out of control.

His handle seems loose and when he goes into the lane he holds the ball out like bait. So he baits players into reaching, most of the times players are ACTUALLY fouling him. The few times he gets a whistle/superstar call...

But when he doesn't get those calls it's no coincidence that instead we see a lot of turnovers. Just watch when he drives he's always holding his arms out asking to get fouled.

What a load of sht. You know harden had 4 assists in the last quarter alone. He setup two of lin's threes and one went and couple went to others. He finished with 6 assists and led the team. The guy took 9 shots nd lin fans are still trying to bash him.

Can't forget Iggy. He gives Harden huge problems.

Not really we hit big threes and Memphis truly fouls on defense a lot but since the nba knows how Memphis plays and what their identity is as a defensive team they let them get away with a lot on defense. These same refs called 5 quick fouls on Dwight Howard too.

Lin looks tired because he played HARD on both ends of the floor. He all but shut down Conley and Parker on a back-to-back! Not only that, but in the fourth quarter he was making plays and trying to initiate the offense. On top of that he played long minutes because AB was injured.

The blood of the Dragon releases it's potential when under stress.

    Or when playing at MSG.

I'm not quite sure what you are talk about. This is about Harden and his strengths and weaknesses. Harden is a great NBA player no doubt. We are talking about where Harden can be exposed by better NBA with defensive specialists that are assigned to mark Harden during the playoffs.

Tonight Harden was great, but that's not what we're discussing. we're discussing the future, potential strategies that Houston will face against teams that will prepare against us

Hope DMo earned some more playing time from this game's effort. I'd really like to see him in a bit more.

Dmo played the kind of defense no one thought he had in him.
