You actually know what your talking about. Every great team goes to there closer the last 5 min of the game and puts it in their hands. The way harden played tonight is how he should play every night if he does that he will earn his top 4 ranking easily. I'm not saying he has to score 16 points every 4th because that's not realistic but he does need to continue to play team ball pass it around get his assists and pick his spots and then when the 4th comes he should be able to take over because he's fresh and frankly that is why he's so good because the slightest advantage of doing less through 3 quarters allows him to be the best player in the court in the last final quarter which I theory makes him the best player in the game.

It will all work our for you James harden if you just play team first ball, In fact in convinced if he plays ball this way he Avis closer to 28 ppg then 24 he woulda had over 30 tonight had he not missed so many free throws.

Very good analysis. I agree completely. I just hope than Lin and Bev will get better so that we can celebrate more victories!

    FTs are still a concern.

    Gotta get that fix up.

The tandem of Howard & Harden lost at the Jazz & at home to the Suns w/o Parsons & Lin.

What more do you need to know about the "superstars" than that????????

Especially because it seems at the beginning of games players who have the most speed are able to use it more easily to take advantage the opponents.

When a person wants Lin to start, how can you distinguish if person
thinks the Rockets will be a stronger unit or whether they are a Lin fan?

My 2 cents, I think the Rockets are a stronger unit when Lin starts, if
only because it takes pressure off Harden, as the opposition has to
focus on 2 offensive threats, as opposed to 1.

Wow I'm very impressed with this squad, great win. Wish we came out with this type of intensity more often.

All of the starters had great games. Bench was awful as usual, but we have health issues.

Moving forward, we just need to get healthy and start winning games. I'm ready for this team to hit a stride.

No in those you failed to mention Harden was struggling with a busted foot. In the Dallas game we had no James and tonight we had him, see the difference?

Lin no doubt is the better fit in the starting line up with the Rockets (im not a LIN AT ALL)..... but when bev gets back, we kinda need Lin off the bench as our bench IMO very offensively challenged at nights, and with Bev it would be a liability to the team.

Bev makes up his lack of offense on the defensive side of the ball. But i really think if Lin tears it up and we start flowing, he will be the man at the 1 spot, and Bev will be coming off the bench like last year. I just hope Asik can get his stuff together, or we move him out to get some much needed depth help.

Ok- just confirming bc a lot of people have talked about Patterson and Morris as starters. And a few crazies have suggested that we would be better of with Douglas starting.

Bev doesn't hurt our starting lineup??? Bev with the starters equals=
    Less Points
    More missed shots
    Fewer Assists
More work for Harden and Parsons b/c Bev's man can leave him open or sag off of him
More Harden ISO's (which lead to a more tired Harden and a less effective Harden ultimately bc he is so tired)

It's not an insult for Bev to come off the bench. The guys a rookie who was playing overseas last season and he is a deficiency on offense.

The reason Bev starts is that coaches need Bev to cover their a** as coaches do not know how to teach team defense. period.

Bev is not a great team defender anyway, but his apparent energy gives game watchers the feeling that he is doing it. Most game watchers do not know much anyway.

Seriously, there is something wrong with the people posting here. This was a very strong statement by the Rockets. They have now won twice in SA one of the strongest teams in the league. Why can't you just be happy about it.

I'm 100% convinced, that none of the trio Duncan-Parker-Ginobili is on the block because of these losses. I don't think anybody else either for that matter. They are simply too experienced and the loss doesn't make a dent in their confidence.

So open a good bottle of red wine and enjoy the W in one of the most convincing Rocket games.

The box score says Lin with only 1 TO. Is that possible?

Indeed. Parker is pretty much shut down. Where is the talk the Lin can't play with these top guards in NBA?

Watching the highlights, I was really impressed by Jones's aggressiveness and energy. He especially had a good thing going with Lin, feeding off of his fast breaks on numerous occasions.

And I may be overly optimistic, but I believe this "take no prisoners" Harden of the fourth quarter is the Harden that we will be seeing consistently in the post season. But I think he'll be pacing himself in quite a few games in the regular season, which will probably infuriate some fans but IMO makes sense.
