Lin will have plenty of opportunity to convince McHale that he should keep him as a starter.

Folks. Do the simple, logical thing, put your best 5 guys in the starting lineup. Stop with the convoluted arguments just so Lin can be relegated to the bench. It's foolishness.

Jeremy was outstanding tonight, his D on Parker was great - overall the Rockets really match up very well with the Spurs.

His numbers tonight are more like what they were when he was first inserted into the starting lineup, so I'm inclined to think this performance can be replicated. I hope, anyway.

 

I have to say, the defense rotations was much better this game that the one in Mav's. They didn't over help and quickly got back to there assignments. I liked Harden and Lin starting in this game, both ensured ball movement and got all the players involved in the offense. I hope we carry this into the game tomm.

 

Like before, when he was playing super efficient before the injury?

As great as the game was, the biggest takeaway for me was the fact that I actually liked the stupid T-shirts more than our current jerseys. That was an unexpected twist for me.

When Harden plays like he did tonight we are a top 3 team.

 

Then we could bring Parsons and Bev off the bench. Let Garcia or Cassipi start. They can still spread the floor for Harden and Lin.

I don't think that's really the answer but if you're willing to keep Lin on the bench, you should be ok with putting parsons on the second unit too.

Ultimately, we need to improve our bench- maybe via trade or free agency or draft. But it's not by hurting the starting 5. There's a big advantage to jumping out to a big lead on a team at the beginning of the game or not falling far behind.

But the haters need something after their gleeful predictions that Linsanity was a fluke and that Lin is just a D-Leaguer (or worse) after all were proven to be completely bogus.
