I'll take the poll. Never went back to old games bc the second you realize how crappy they look and feel compared to the new generation, you want nothing to do with them.
I think BC might have been nice for this generation shift. I haven't really looked back at this, but there seems to be many more AAA games being released for "last-gen" consoles compared to last time. GTA V, Dark Souls 2, Persona 5, GT6, etc., will likely be better games than a majority of the PS4/XBO games released in the next year or so. I'm having to keep my PS3 around for them, though I'd rather not (don't really have room for both). Would love some Gaikai streaming, but I don't think I should get my hopes up. This doesn't necessarily have to be true. That's how Nintendo does things, but that's because Nintendo doesn't push the envelope. Sony could have put in a "supercharged" Cell (combined with probably the same GPU they already picked), and from a power standpoint, it would have been pretty similar to what we have with the PS4 (yet it should be able to run PS3 code I think). Actually, it might have been much more powerful. MS could have done something similar (some sort of PowerPC CPU). Of course, it would have cost more to produce (probably more R&D too), run a lot hotter, drained a lot more energy, developers would have absolutely hated it, etc. Given the trade-offs, MS and Sony decided some of these things were more important than the others. Might get into a semantics debate, but this isn't necessarily true. PC emulation of older consoles is generally pretty good, and you are able to run the games MUCH better than how they ran on their native hardware (higher resolution, AA/AF, solid framerates, etc.). That can be pretty hard to do though, and I'm not sure it is really practical for any PS3/360 games anytime soon.
Just on BC, I've bought a lot of games for my 360 in recent months. Really enjoyed them. Was sure I'd still play them when I for the XBone.....and haven even thought about plugging the 360 in and firing it up! BTW, my gamer tag is "LeagueFreak". I'm in Aus so I'm on at a funny time for you lot but feel free to add me.
Same here, it looks amazing. Most people who have played it at gaming events/conventions have raved about it. Can't wait to play.
I've done enough research now. Despite my big distaste for Microsoft I will be getting an XBOX ONE. Everybody is different and I have never had an xbox before but I feel that the game titles are more for me. When I had a PS3 I never bought uncharted or some of those other games even though many of my friends love them. Halo & Titanfall are good enough for me.
ehh.. I owned a PS3 for about 4 years and I skipped out on most PS3 exclusives, aside from those made by Naughty Dog (best devs in industry in my opinion). PlayStation owns a lot of studios (quantity) , but the quality of many of these games are severely lacking. Anyways, I'm a huge fan of multiplayer games, and TitanFall looked too great to pass up. I love how Microsoft invests in large/popular multiplayer games/content such as : -CoD/BF timed exclusive dlc -halo - one of the biggest multiplayer games of all time. -titanfall - most anticipated next gen title Sony on the other hand seems to ignore multiplayer games after multiple failures like Socom 4 (the death of socom) , resistance series, MediocreZone, MAG, etc.
I played it at PAX Prime several times, and watched people play it for hours and hours. It is easily the best game of the "nextgen." With that said, I was dissapointed with WatchDogs - and wasn't suprised after seeing the extended demo live that they delayed it. Of course, Watch Dogs is cross-platform. Quantum Break, looks like it is going to be an amazing Xbox Exclusive. <iframe src="//player.vimeo.com/video/81704438" width="500" height="281" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe> And of course Tom Clancy's The Division will have exclusive Xbox One content as well. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/R2NJSAvuiQ0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
If you were into myplayer and especially the multi player part of myplayer, you might want to hold on. Everything else is awesome

What do you mean? It should be tied to your Microsoft account, Hotmail/Live/MSN/etc. Have you tried logging in to Xbox.com to verify?
