14 points. 4 threes from the combinations of calderon and crowder plus a drive by calderon. in the end his 20pts off set the 14, but why does he think dwight needs help. If it was me, I'd be fine with dirk scoring on jones as long as I'm not getting scored on. stay camping out with your man. it's not difficult. makes me want to pull my hair out.

but no we don't win it with bev either. who is to say he shuts down both guys to zero points, but only scores one point himself like the last mavs game? mavs won because they still have the german guy.
francis/mobley, francis/yao, yao/tmac,yao/ronron, luifa/kmart/, parsons/luifa.... the result would have been the same. i hate the mavs more than utah. ok not more than the j*zz but pretty close.

So this is our Christmas present from the team to the fans, a "where be my head" stupid game against the Mavs. Very disappointing. The Rockets made the Mavs look like basketball wizards. The Rockets looked like r****ds. Some of the "stupidest" basketball I have seen ever. They were in "church league" territory tonight.

Let's see, his FG%, 3-point%, TS% are higher, his PER is higher, rebounds/steals/assists are higher.

I'd say he's showing him up. Not to say Goran isn't playing well but this is Bledsoe's fourth season and first season as starting PG and he's putting up better numbers than Goran in his 8th season/prime.

Ellis' scoring depends on Ellis, always has, likely always will

Lin was really RUSTY for sure. And there is no excuse for LIn's play. But it's not fair to bash Lin for on sub-par game. he didn't play aweful, he shot well and was aggressive. But he made too many mental mistakes tonight no doubt

Lin is in his 2nd season. He's playing well. He's got a lot of holes but he can do fantastic things out there. His playmaking game needs to translate to the Rockets. I think that's why he has so many TOs. He just doesn't have chemistry with them and instead of just shooting at the rim, he tries to get balls to guys who don't expect it, Lin isn't passing it to the right spot, or simply like a QB and wide receiver, they aren't on the same page.

Blaming AB or Lin for the loss is ridiculous. The real issue here is Garcia. He has been pretty worthless all season. Yes he earned some goodwill during the playoffs, but that's pretty much run out. He's way too inconsistent of a shooter for what our offense needs. And though he did a decent job on KD during the playoffs, he seems to have lost a step (he is getting up there in age). Garcia also needs to stop putting the ball on the floor. When Casspi does it, it works because it's against slower 4s. But it doesn't work for Garcia because he's slower than most 3s and easily the slowest 2 in the league.

Also, TJones needs to play within himself like he did at the start of the season when he was playing well and putting up numbers. Seems like TJones is trying to do too much at times, as though he has something to prove. I guess everyone saying the rockets need a starting-caliber 4 can do that to you.

You guys need to relax. We have Harden, Asik and PBev out at the moment...to be honest, glad we didn't let them blow us out in the 4th and we sort of came back. All these injuries really messes with the team chemistry defensively and offensively.

Positives are Dwight was dominating again in this game, Lin is back and looks physically health and rhythm will only get better from here. Harden will also more than likely play against the Spurs, so I can see us having a good chance in not only being competitive but also winning that game.

There are still over 50 games left and we are only 2 games behind the clippers.

We are good at bouncing back after losses...so hope for a better showing on xmass

well said. Chemistry will develop with TJOnes, who really needs Lin's help at this juncture. I think Lin helped P.Patterson's and M.Morris's game last year developing chemistry with both of them. I think TJones will benefit as well as D.HOward and of course Chandler Parsons.

I agree with most of your comments, especially identity, defense, and playing time together. There is one more issue that I think they have though, which is injuries. Although initially unpredictable, injuries could be aggravated by excess playing time. The three main guys, Howard, Harden, and Parsons are logging alot of minutes, and out of these three, I'm most concerned right now with Harden.

I hope you didn't include the play where Dallas had a fast break and Lin stopped Ellis with the ball at the wing who then passed it to Crowder for a corner three. Because obviously he should have just let Ellis get an easy lay up.

TJones play kind of disappeared once Lin disappeared. Lin was a spark for Jones's aggressive and mature basketball play I have to admit. Beverley doesn't quite do that for other players and JOnes struggled, coincidently
