With losses like against Clips tonight Love probably doesn't care if they build a Chinese wall around him. Minny didn't know how to build around Garnett and the story is repeating with Love. I guess some franchises are just inept at handling these situations (LeBron in Cleveland for example)

They have 18 months to turn into a contender or Love will leave Minnesota. Time is very likely not on Minny's side. Besides if you think Peko and Love are a monster, then what do you think Peko and Howard would be? Toss in Harden and Parsons and it would take a tremendous amount of luck (not gonna happen) for the Pups to put that kind of talent around Love.

If Rockets have the cap space when Love becomes a free agent then he is most likely gone from Minny.

You're right. There appears to be teams that just can't make it happen. However, I don't believe that the Rockets have anything that the Wolves would like to have. Certainly not Asik after they signed Pekovic to a heavy and long contract. Therefore, I don't see any possibility that Love would come to Houston until he is a free agent. I'm a bit puzzled about KLoves ability to win games. Somehow the guy is not a winner type.

Do you see the Pups playing like the Blazers are now in a few years? Blazers have much better talent then the Pups have. Blazers have an outstanding starting line-up with Mathews, LMA, Lillard, Batum and Lopez. Of that group if you subtract the power forward position only Pekovick would be able to squeeze into the Blazers starting unit. Lillard, Batum and Mathews are superior on both sides of the floor compared to what the Pups have.

Even last season you could see the talent on the Blazers: Lillard was ROY, Mathews a solid defensive 2 that also averaged 15 ppt, LMA was arguably the best PF in the game last season and Batum is a borderline all-star.

Do you see Rubio turning into Lillard? I don't Maybe will Minny be lucky enough to draft the ROY this coming draft? if they want to keep Love they better hope they hit the Jack Pot or he is gone.

Anderson will not make the Rockets significantly better.

this is my question also, with all that offense he has will he take them to the playoffs like harden odd with us last year ? or will a guy like griffin still get 32 points on him like last night and come out with the W ?

He fits our system WAYYYYY better than jones. He not all that on defense but he talk has length and knows how to rotate with Howard because of his experience & playing with him. He's also a underrated rebounder

If the Pelicans didn't seem interested in acquiring Asik a week ago, what makes anyone think that they would be interested in acquiring him at the February trade deadline?

Morey's window for making that trade probably was the Summer right after they acquiring Howard, but I get why they didn't make the deal then if it was on the table. I felt that in the Summer if you were to acquire Anderson, you'd be essentially locking yourself into Anderson as the long-term starting PF when I thought that during the year one of these high quality PF's in the league (LMA, Love, Millsap, etc.) could become available at any point, and I wanted the assets to be able to make that move.

Little did we know all of these high quality PF's would have career years with their respective teams, and the Rockets assets would take such a heavy nosedive. Also you'd assume that the Anderson/Asik deal would have been kept on the table throughout the year, but oddly enough New Orleans soured on the deal at some point, and fell in love with the idea of playing Davis at the 5 with Anderson at the 4.

Whatever.... it is what it is. The Rockets still have a chance in the next two months, or this Summer to make a move for a top notch PF. I still would prefer to be patient with moving my assets (Jones, draft picks), but would move Asik alone for an upgrade at this point since his value is so terrible. If I had to move my trade assets along with Asik for any upgrade that isn't all-star level quality, I just simply wait till the Summer IMO which most likely mean.... No Ryan Anderson this year.

I could see them making a leap, yes. If they don't, it reflects poorly on Love.

I think Love ends up in Houston. It's too easy to call actually.

Some people think LA is where he will end up. I say the tide is shifting. First Dwight. Love will be the next to leave them with blue balls.
