I think Lin is what he right now. A good role player. He will help us win games though with others out. He plays the same game as Harden so there will be familiarity. i just don't think he's a leader. That's not a criticism and I don't think anyone on our team is currently

It would be great for Lin to be with Kidd. Kid could actually play against him in practice and help him deal with pressure defense better. KG would love Lin and help him out as a player immensely.

I think you sell him short with classifying him as a "role player". He's just lifted his game and the team too many times for that. At times, he's more like a role player, but overall, he's a big ingredient to any team's chances because of his game and that he's still developing. He's also a draw, a bigger draw than even some star players.

Your opinion is your opinion but he continues to improve so the continuum of his play peaking right now and not improving would not be consistent with the trend he's showing. And he's shown leadership qualities, if you really research him before he was a Rocket he's shown them. But you may be defining leader as something totally different than I'm thinking if you say no one on the current team is because I think Dwight is taking on that role and other guys have strong voices in the team too.

I hope he proves me wrong but i don't see it. He's a role player to me at this point. I do thing he's become more efficient and showed he's a solid role player but I think that's the ceiling.

The Knicks did sign Kidd to mentor Lin at first.

I think Dwight is quickly becoming the leader.

Tweets are coming in saying Lin said he'll play tomorrow.

This a rockets blog bro, I'm talking about what's best for the rockets which is not to have him go there and we help the nets out and we look bad. We can talk Lin but I'm not in the business of caring about a rockets player going somewhere to get Better unless it's beneficial to Houston.

That's what they said. It was a cover because they were not going to meet Houston's offer and did not tell him at the point they hired Kidd.

Dude, that sux. He shouldn't be playing anyways, just a scrub on this team. Lets trade him now. Harden needs to man up and play. He's our superstar, superstars don't back down. That's why Lin is not a superstar or even a star. Not like harden, which is why he should play.

I always talk about Lin in terms of the Rockets. I like the Rockets and want him to work out with this team but a lot of CF seem to want him traded. In that regard, I wrote this post. That trade may be great for the Nets, but that's not what I want. But I think the Rockets need to commit to him better. He's just as big and good a player as Parsons is IMO and Parsons will need to be paid so he'll make big money soon enough. I think a Howard, Harden, Parsons and Lin core, ages 27, 24, 25 and 25 makes a strong core for years to come and I don't want Rondo or anyone else to replace Lin just like I don't want anyone to replace Parsons. But I don't love how Lin is treated by the coaches here and I don't love hearing all this trade talk and willingness to so much want to deal him. I believe in this player and man, and I think he can help Houston win down the road if they'd just say to him, we believe in you. Go out there and play.

He's a role player, not by choice, but by the current system.

Bws, good luck with that. Rockets don't see Lin in there future and neither do I. Just trade him for some first round picks or something, get parsons paid and get over Lin. Time for him to pack his bags

Whatever, if you don't work for the Rockets I don't take your word for anything. Ok? He's here now, he sure is needed now that Beverley's down for weeks, and I can't predict what the Rockets will do. As long as he's here, and Coach says he wants the team to stay together and gel, I root for him to help the team. If and when he goes, some of you get your wish and if he comes back and scores 40 on you on another team, well you had him for awhile.

I disagree. I think he's a role player in general on a good team. I think he'd rather be in that role then a 20 ppg guy on a ****ty team

Everyone starts off from zero in this forum and I am still pretty sure there is freedom of speech in this country. No need to get snarky.
