Chandler Parson's Jordanesque mid-air switching hand layup at 2:05 mark!

Dwight looks like he will make a late run at MVP this year.

If he can get the Rockets in a top 3 seed and keep playing like he has this December, he should finish in the top 3 discussion. This guy is so good.

The Rockets need to play inside out all the time. Do not change it when James Harden gets back. This looked like the Orlando Magic last night and Chandler Parsons is every bit as good as Hedo Turkoglu. If James Harden buys in, than this team can come out of the west.

He had a good game but the double team was lacking. Not much effort from the defensive and that is where Dwight really turns the ball over. If you give him space then he can operate in the post.

So true and for some reason a lot of people just don't see this. Dwight's best games this year have come against teams with centers that they think can hold their own against Dwight so they don't double team him and he destroys them one on one. His biggest problem is making quick decisions with the double team. He gets the ball stripped or turns it over too much. That is the next step in his evolution as a dominant post player.

IMO in order to really he considered a superstar you have to

    A) make your teammate better
    B) dominate one on one situations.

IMO both Howard and Harden have proven they can do this. I know harden is under the bus right now but the reality is we need him just as much as Dwight if were to truly contend. James will get it and step his game back up as he did last year. With both guys Locked I to the game plan and playing through the team, I really don't think anyone will have an answer for this team. It take time and we have plenty of it to get their.

I don't know what happened in Orlando when he was complaining about touches, but clearly we should giving him more attempts. That did remind me of Hakeem, especially the footwork. Too much to ask for 62% FT shooting?!

Good post. I hope Harden starts to buy in to the feed Dwight as much as possible. The offense was great last night.

Is anyone else encouraged to see him attempting that face up mid range jumper off the glass? Even though he missed, it shows he's more confident in it. We've got him for a while, if he can add that to his game with his athleticism going down, he can still be dominant. Very encouraging to see if you ask me.

I'm glad he is trying to use his quickness instead trying to run people over and getting offensive fouls.

His post up success has something to do with him changing directions constantly in the post. When doing that, he is to quick and strong. It looks like he has figured it out.

It wasn't that he didn't have post moves, it was that he didn't have counter moves and wasn't fluid in his movements.

He has proven that he can really wreak havoc on defenses that don't adjust their coverage but the real test will be what he does on the great defenses of the NBA. We need to find a way to score consistently on the guys we'll actually see in the playoffs.

His moves seem a lot more fluid, you can see some Dream influence with the counters. He actually has counters now.

His go to in Orlando was always the reverse pivot, he didn't really have the jump hook (for some reason i can't write this without picturing it in hakeem's accent, jump hook, jump hook jump hook) to go with it, but it didn't matter too much then with his athleticism (the lakers took it away in those finals though), now he has the jump hook to pair with it.

Looked great but the Pistons were idiots not to just double him and force the rest of the MASH unit to beat them.

After watching Dwight Howard with the Rockets for 28 games, Dwight can finish better with his left hand. Has a softer touch to it. Overall, Dwight is a great finisher around the basket. He has been the best and most consistent Rocket. Captain Dwight Howard

Bingo. Dwight's go-to move is his left hand hook shot. He's nailed it down. Gets the defender going to the middle from the left block then reverses and lays up that soft hook. It's a good move. He's also good driving left from the right block. But that left-hand hook shot is his go-to move. The defenders are going to have to way overplay that to have a chance to stop it and when they do he's got an open alley to the rim with his strong hand.

Nice - when Parsons jumps on his back at the end, it's like, 'No, dont' do that!'.
