I know I may be a little sensitive from our fresh loss, but did anyone else think it was poor sportsmanship for Manning to score that last touchdown? They had the ball with a 2 score lead and 4 minutes left in the game. Was it really necessary?
I don't even want Case to be the starter next year. Go back outside and play with your friends ok son?
Whoever said when manning was a FA we didn't need him we had Schaub or it'd be too much money at QB or injury concerns or whatever..... Let this be a lesson you live and die with your QB and if yours sucks or regresses this is the purgatory you endure. If nothing else yet another back breaking interception should put the nail in his coffin. Starting for your 2014 Houston Texans at QB Teddy Bridgewater!!!!
Play it safe, run the ball. Isn't that what any other team would do? I'm seriously just wondering. I felt like it was a slap to the face, but no one else seems to think so.
I am honestly just trying to see what other fans thought about it. Also, my account is older than yours and your tag is ILoveWhiteGirls. I find it highly ironic that you are calling me a troll..
I agree, but even running the ball would have gotten them a TD. They should have just sat in a circle and sang kumbaya until the game clock expired. That would have been proper sportsmanship.
Texans are a slap in the face, more so than Manning breaking a record. (Manning breaking records, Manning owning the Texans, Manning giving a big F U to the team who said no thanks(LOL), nothing to see there.) Thankfully this terrible season is coming to an end. Astros ride out on a 15 game losing streak. Texans ride out on a 14 game losing streak. Astros got their last win on Friday, September 13, 2013 over the LA Angels(9-7). Texans got their last win two days later on Sunday, September 15, 2013 over Tennessee(30-24 OT). Houston sports sure does suck.
If you put it that way, it seems okay. Manning was also pretty classy about it. It's hard to perceive things as a fan when your team is in a rut.
The only reason Manning went for the record is so he could sit next game. I'm pretty sure he won't play again until the playoffs.
Don't bring up the proper sportsmanship crap up on here. The whole NFL knew Manning was gonna go for that record, it's the Texans fault for putting him in that position to get it.
At least for the 50+ years I have followed it. Without the two Rockets championships it is a "trail of tears." Actually I cried when the Rockets won, both times. Like a baby. So much pent up frustration. I am hoping to live to see them do it again and see at least one Houston super bowl victory. I guess if the Texans can go from first to worst, they can go from worst to first.
