With Harden out and the win today, I decided to look at the games he's missed this season.

I remember we almost won that Philly game too.

Next you should analyze the games we lost to the below .500 teams...

My first sentence was a little bold - I apologize for that. I only brought this topic up for discussion because we do play noticeably/visibly different without Harden.

Yes you could say the stats were "handpicked" but they aren't skewed in any way and are very common box score statistics. Field goal % and team assists - nothing out of the ordinary. Just a slightly interesting trend to observe while the season is still relatively young.

Rockets are better with everyone healthy period. I was impressed that Harden made an attempt to give it a go tonight knowing Beverley was injured and the squad being extremely shorthanded. It's also nice to know we have another all-star caliber player in Dwight to pick up the slack vice versa. Tonight's game in motor city was truly awesome and for the first time I saw the team playing like they had a dominant big man since Hakeem and Ming Yao. Also, I think Disney world Dwight is back and this time with a dream shake to boot.

We definitely move the ball better without Harden , when we do move the ball , good thing happen. If Harden can change his style and play within the system, we would be unstoppable.

The Heat were 11-2(85%) without Wade last year, and 55-14(79%) with him.

    Just saying.

My god... Replace Harden with Lin and we get this eerie sense of normalcy. Seriously though, Harden with his faults is always a +. His ability to get to the foul line when points are so hard to get is breath taking. Don't sweat it OP.

The two teams we beat at home have a road record of 9-18. The three teams we beat on the road have a home record of 18-28.

Edward, we all know you are a Lin Only Fan.

You just want to trade Harden or Bench him, and have LIN take over this team as the #1 option.

    GTFO.

    Let's trade Harden then

    but for which player??

Nah. I hate when he is so lethargic, gives so little or no effort and shoots none stop when he is so cold he bricks everything.
but still Harden is one of the best when he brings it. He just needs to mature or get a coach to get on his face and sits him down or makes him responsible for his terrible nights.

Its all on Harden, I have notice every game we have lost is coz of Harden when he isn't into the game and not shooting well he drags the team down even if we have some other players playing well. And it's on McHale too for not making Harden responsible for not giving any effort and to sit him down if he isn't.

Harden has never been coach by someone who gets on him like a Popovic. If he was playing on the Spurs he would have been bench all season long till he follows the game plan, gives effort on defense and sticks to his man. He needs to be the main guy every night with Dwight.

I'm glad Dwight has shown maturity and gives his best effort every game. He still is coming back in shape and isn't 100% to his form or ability since coming back from his back injury but he has play terrific and has work on his FT ( which is annoying when i see the other guys missing so many free-throws).
Now it's just on Harden to mature and not rely on Howard to bailed him out when he has a terrible night or when he is hang over or whatever it is that makes him play so slow and horrible some nights. (and no it's not always is ankle).

I just can't wait till he gets into it and he focuses and improves on all those thing and matures. This is his team he is the guy and he has everything here to win it all we are just waiting on him to get it together and hope he does soon before the window closes coz there is always a small opening before it does.

And even with Harden playing bad some night it is on the bench, too i know that. The all need to step up it their 3s, hit their free-throws, and stop turning the ball over so much.

What are you saying by posting that pic Jocar? Don't have the balls to discuss the content of his OP?

So many sensitive Harden lovers in here. *SMH*

Harden is easily the top 3 SG in the NBA if not #1 so no one is calling Harden a bad player or that the Rockets is better without him. Wouldn't it be nice if there is a chance that if Harden changes a little of his style to make the team better? Is Harden so perfect and untouchable that he can't help to improve the team anymore?

Dragging up pix of the op is borderline stalker material and pple who do so should be banned for reasons of public safety. I think there is a strong enough anti Asian sentiment amongst a fringe element on this board. Highly doubt pic would have been posted were the op a Caucasian.

Unless the OP knew several years in advance that some high schooler named Lin would make the Rockets, I doubt he is a Lin only fan.

Now the topic is a legitimate one. I hear that stuff with Kobe quite a bit here in LA and Kobe is a far greater player than Harden. There was a tendency by him to dominate games to the detriment of the team at times.

It's race baiting of the worst kind and says a lot about the weak mentality of the person making that kind of post to begin with.

It's ironic that the people who race bait the most are the ones who claim that everyone else is motivated by race.

A lot of it is psychological. Harden dominates the ball. Harden does not make his teammates better as a point guard. He is not that type of player. If you are on his team and he is not playing, you are going to be more motivated. The effect probably does not last long term. A backup qb can come in and outplay a starter for a few games based on adrenaline and lack of scouting reports.
