You can't sign a player without waiving one first. As bad as Brewer has been playing, I don't see the need to release him just for the sake of seeing what Troy can do.

I'm just putting it out their, but I do not want Troy Daniels on this team at all unless we sign him just so other clubs can't grab him and let him continue playing for the vipers. If you guys think Troy Daniels is an upgrade over cassipi or Garcia then your kidding yourselves
Or if you want something a little more modern <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/-0ivM-DSais" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
No choice at this point. I do think this will be a good wake up call for him, especially on the defensive end. Hopefully he doesn't start out in a shooting slump. I'd really like to see him play well with Harden.

Curse to whoever is the starting PG. Nobody has started more than two seasons at the PG spot since Rafer Alston. The revolving door PG march is kind of creepy.
You have to be pleased with what's going on down in Rio Grande valley. Between Canaan, Covington, Daniels, ans Olbrecht you have to think two of those guys will be rotation players for us at some point. Could Olbrecht be an option for us?
Definitely ready to see what Canaan can do out there, I think he'll fit great in our offensive scheme! Think he'll be that PG we're missing, not taking anything away from the 3 guys we had out there.
The weird thing is that injuries have always occured following success. Brooks was balling, got injured, got replaced, didn't like it and got traded. Lowry was balling, got injured, got replaced, didn't like it and got traded. Lin was balling towards end of last season, got injured in the playoffs, got replaced. Started balling again this year, got injured. Beverley was balling last year, got hurt to start this year. Came back, and got injured again. Keep this up and you might start to wonder if the Rockets philosophy of attacking the basket with their PGs may cause more injuries.
I don't think Canaan is ready for the NBA. His pre-season still haunts me. With Beverley injured and Lin not guaranteed to be healthy we do need a backup point guard.
