    Wexler reported on Twitter the Rockets will be calling him up. Canaan averaged 21.7 pts and 9.2 assts per game in the D league (12 games).

    Is he the fish that will save Houston?

    I'm excited. I never saw Canaan play in college, and since he was injured during Summer League, I didn't see him play then either. This'll be good for him and the Rockets, long-term.

    So, will he just be used as insurance or actually given playing time? McHale seemed pretty content with that highly effective no-PG lineup.

    Given the track record of how much DMo sees the court with Asik and Smith being out, im not optimistic.

    he struggled in the preseason

    honestly, i wish we could sign troy daniels and see what he could bring

    have him play over garcia/casspi

    Two different thread discussions for this so I copied/merged for the news thread.

    Canaan coming up looks just like insurance given the uncertainty with Jeremy Lin's injury, but he can certainly shoot the ball.

    It is the natural move. The kid will get some exposure and find some flaws in this game to work on back in the D-League.

    I haven't followed him. My understanding is he's mostly a shooter / shoot-first PG? If so he should fit nicely next to Harden.
