See you are trying to turn this into something other than what it is...

First off Harden has very good play making skills and when he wants he has very good decision making skills... But you are insinuating that the Lin has the best play making skills on this team and that is very far from the truth.

Bev may not be the best pg in the league, but he knows his role and sometimes that can be the most valuable asset to have. Bev has had some very bad games and he's also had some very good games.

Basically, I will keep preaching the same thing that I have already stated... They need to play as a team both on offense and defense.

It doesn't run thru bev or lin... It runs thru Harden... But it should run thru Howard..

The sad thing is Bev's defense is mediocre often. He's very good against small/fast PGs but not so good against taller/stronger PGs. Overall Bev is avg or slightly above avg if you look at his D overall.

If Bev was used the right way as a situational defensive specialist then his D would be elite and he wouldn't be exposed and abused regularly when Bev has to guard a PG with some size.

Here we go with the stats again and stats don't tell the entire truth.... Neither bev or Lin have a great assist avg and as long as they run the current offense neither will.

You guys keep looking at a stat line and think that is the all and all, but the stats are so far from the truth...

Bev is not the reason the offense is suffering, but you guys that are supporting Lin keep trying to insinuate that... The offense is suffering because of no ball movement.

Nay you're wrong and I think you know you went too far lol.

Lin started all 82 games last year with Harden starting next to him. Lin led the Rockets in apg above Harden last season. Lin's season ranks top 5 in apg in rockets history.

Lin is better this year compared to last. If he is healthy and allowed to play 35 mpg, Lin would avg 7-8 apg which is pretty good even if he plays next to Harden.

With today's rules and no team defense, bev defense is way above average...

No individual can totally stop another without help... Even George had help with Harden....

This has mentioned several times before... Defense is a team thing and everyone has to be committed...

Teams know about bev so set different types of picks to free his man.. This is where the team defense comes into play..

As I stated earlier I will not debate with anyone about bev's offense, but I will with his defense... I have seen bev fight thru numerous of picks without any help from his teammates and Harden want even attempt to switch on a pick..

Last year... Did we have Howard last year? The offense was geared around the guards and this year that has changed since we have Howard.

This year the ball is in Harden's hand about 90% of the time and as a lot of posters have stated we are back to being an iso offense....

You keep coming up with IF's? The offense is not an if? If Harden passed the ball? If the team did more pnr and more screens? If the offense had more movement? See we can go on and on with if's; but the fact is the offense is what it is and until that changes; we will be debating about the if's.

Yes, our SG shouldn't also be the PG. But if the SG wasn't the PG, our starting PG is still not a facilitator.

And I've seen Bev COMPLETELY DESTROYED so many times by mediocre PGs.

He's not that good as I said so many times against taller/stronger PGs.

Since Bev is a 1-way player he should have no excuse to be anything but superb every night on D while the truth is one night he can be spectacular on D against an elite PG who is small/quick only to look like a D-league PG the next game against an avg PG who has size

Lin played 30 mpg and fell apart because of injuries. If he played 35 mpg he would break in half. He needs to play 25-30 mpg max to get the most out of him because a healthy Lin can be part of the big 3/4 in Houston.

None of our pgs can pass like traditional pg's. Lin is better on offense especially in transition but Bev is way better on D. Brooks is excellent on offense if he is on but when he is off he don't bring much else. Lin can't stay healthy so can he be reliable enough to start and coming off bench he beings more to the table than Bev could running 2nd unit (where we would need a better scoring option than with our starters). I am open to a trade to get more consistant player who fits the mold of passer/defender or keeping it the way it is and seeing how having lin come back and turn our second unit into one of the best in nba. Or in matchups against non scoring guards starting lin more since Bevs defense wouldn't be as needed or going with the hot hand that game. The key is for lin to get back and see what we have before making rush decisions.

Stop trying to deny what is obvious. Lin plays just 28.8 mpg this year and avg 4.2 apg which is much better than Bev. He was benched a couple of times and played injured a couple of games. He played a few min 1 game where he hurt his knees.

It's clear and obvious if Lin was starting this year and played 35 mpg he will avg 7-8 apg.

T-man what about fast break points ? That was our bread & butter last year, do you think we could use those points ?

And as much as you talk about bevs defense, why are his steals regressing , if that's his role to play D ?

True, our pg should not be our sg...

Facilitator not true... He's no Chris Paul, but he plays within his game and rarely does he try to force things...

A pg job is to run the offense and that doesn't mean that he has to drive and create all the time. He's job is to ensure that the correct is being run and everyone is where they should be... He's the qb on the court and like all qb's you basically don't want them to force anything to lose the game.

Bev is not "way better" on D. He is better against small/fast PGs and worst than Lin against taller/stronger PGs.

Bev's D is hyped even when opposing PGs avg 29 ppg on 45+ FG% in the playoffs some fans will clain Bev has "legendary defense"

See you are trying to make this a Lin vs Bev thing and it's not... It's the team playing as a team... You are trying to make this more than what it is...

As far as stats... I don't like them... Stats can be inflated especially doing garbage time, so stats are not accurate.

Team Defense... Fast breaks are generated from the defense... That's how the Pacers killed us, the defense generated easy points.. Defense is a team tihng and not just a 1, 2 or 3 player thing..

A 39 year old D-Fisher can beat up on Bev's defense and some will still claim Bev's defense is "legendary" lmao

Rockets PR and Coaching staffs are trying to defense their failure Bev. experiment just like the did with TT experiment. You will notice a lot of them trying to connect between "Lin"+"bench". I'm not sure what are they trying to do, but it does smelled...

He doesn't really have game management skills. Even a game manger type of QB has to be able to facilitate game winning drives.
