Yeah...because Paul Had to improve. You do realize if Harden took the same shooting leaps George has he'd be the best shooter in nba history ?

More like 5 inches, PG is 6'10 now - he has grown at least 2 inches since entering the NBA.

Parsons should be guarding him anyways.

Quit making excuses yo.. Iverson's size didn't limit him vs other great defenders.. George has owned Hardens soul in 3 straights games now..

Harden can't impact the game like George can.. Just look at the first half, Both were 2-8.. Except one did more and destroyed our game plan, By wiping off the floor.

LEAVE JAMES HARDEN ALONE. ITS NOT HIS FAULT. HE DOES THE BEST WITH WHAT HIS PARENTS GAVE HIM.

If you want to blame anyone blame his parents for not being taller or his mom for not conceiving with a taller man.

LEAVE JAMES ALONE. Hes gonna cry after reading this thread.

He's also 6'8 and is a match up problem for Harden. They don't play the same position. The Pacers being a better team is more of the telling story here, not that Paul George is better than Harden.

Harden could go the other route and improve his defense yet we are still getting the same threads made every few weeks complaining about Harden's defense. I could've said the same thing about George improving his D even further and he would be the best defender in nba history.

George has the WANT and the HEART to want to be as good as he possibly can. By working nonstop in the off season.
Harden is lazy, he doesnt even care. He puts in ZERO effort in improving his defense consistently.

George didnt "HAVE" to improve, he chose to do so. He wanted to be the best. Kinda like KOBE or LEBRON.

    Harden....well hes a Gilbert Arena.

Bill Worrell this very game said he thought Paul George is the better player... but, the man's only seen so much basketball...

Put an good/great defender on James - he's toast. (Allen, Iguodala, George, etc)

Injuries, partying last night, blah blah blah. Save the excuses.

No, Harden hasn't improved his defense. You may get 1 or 2 games in a few weeks where he plays decent D but overall it's still the same porous D since he got to Houston.

Howard has been playing much better lately and its good to see. I was critical of Howard early on but he is starting to play like he is the best player on the team. Harden still needs to give them more in games like tonight or you will get the results the Rox got tonight. As far as the perimeter guys, we have no good consistent play maker right now, just iso ball.

    Any proof of this?

Not sure what that proves, you had ESPN and GMs thinking of Harden as a top 5 player going into the season.

Compare those quotes from PG to Harden's constant use of "we" in lieu of "I" on losses he greatly contributed to... and who can forget his ever inspirational, "It's 82 games, it happens" line after one of his poor showings...

I'm sure JayGoogle will have you believe this is because Harden has already arrived... and PG is merely aspiring to reach such greatness... so he has to have this attitude, unlike Harden...

Nah, he has actually shut down a few players and has played decent defense at least consistently for like the past 4 weeks. Yeah he has a bad game every now and then but so does the entire team.

Nah, I don't read anything into quotes. I'm sure most professional athletes actually laugh at people that do. At least from what I've heard, not sure why anyone would unless they are wanting to find something to support their theory of which they have no evidence of.

    Like Harden being 'Lazy'

You can tell George is more in the mold of Kobe, lebron, Durant. Guys who are constantly trying to improve, to get better. They breathe basketball.

Harden is more about other stuff, like strip clubs and partying. He doesnt want it as much.

I think most people here know better not to respond to JayGoogle when it is about Harden like they know better not to respond to any stupid Lin related comment when it is coming from a Lin fan with no basketball knowledge.

    ... Oh wait!

Coz Harden is no athletic freak like Wade, Tmac or Kobe, not even close.
That's why he needs to quit the hero ball and start to play team ball, if he wants to win in playoff.
