The Pacers are a better team than the Rockets, which results in a player like George looking much better than Harden too.
It's his style of play and lack of assorted offensive moves. He plays in slow motion. Good quick defenders usually shut him down . Harden doesn't have that consistent jumper or a pull-up jumper like a Kevin Martin or a athletic drive like wade. He's a victim of his own deficiencies
at this point we all know George is the better player.its nice to have a guy who play offence as well as defense..the rocket SG curse i suppose..
You right, Harden will show up again against a Brooklin, Mil, or Sactown but I think he is over rated. People on this thread compares him to T-Mac at this point in his career but when T-Mac was 24 or 25, he was a monster!!! Nobody ever dominated him like Harden got dominated tonight. I felt sorry for him......he should've pulled a Dez Bryant and walked into the dressing room before the game ended.
I'm not sure you know what the phrase "keeping perspective" means since you used it an a horribly wrong context. George didn't even play well tonight. Harden just played awful.
You guess is wrong then joker. I have played with an high ankle sprain before. Didn't Harden go off for 19 the other day? So miss me with the excuses. His best bud dominated him on both ends of the court tonight. Man what are you talking about, " much more above basketball". Have you ever played basketball before.
Did you watch the game dude or what? George was locking down Harden for most of the night. Its the stars who decide the outcome of the game. If that matchup goes the other way it makes a huge difference on the mental side and how it effects your teams confidence. The body language of our entire team went south in the second half, did you notice why? Because Harden showed no confidence. Reminds of what MJ did to Drexler in the finals.
Yeah Harden is limited against quicker, more athletic defenders which is a major concern, especially with his shot now being so off. On an interview the other night on ESPN Chandler expressed the Rox will go as far as Harden can take them and with these deficiencies I don't know how far they can go if Harden is leading them. Also McHale's lack of imagination on offense is hurting the team as well and McHale allows Harden to ball stop too much within the offense.
Forget that foot!!! Stop making excuses, he always play SOFT; always looking for the ref to bail him out (call a foul), NO DEFENSE, and taking rushed shots. I know this is early but I would trade Harden and this years #1 for Jabari Parker RIGHT NOW
george has 3 inches on Harden which makes it hard for Harden to shoot over him. Plus George has really long arms.. it's a difficult match-up. And, Harden isn't even 100% yet
The 5th and 6th post alone on the first page says they would go with George. I can't remember when I posted on this thread it was around the 3-15 page but I went with George. It was easy to see his growth. Harden hasn't become better since he got to the Rockets. I don't see any aspect of his game thats gotten a whole lot better since he came to the Rockets but you can see George improving his shooting by leaps and bounds.
I think the body language of our entire team went south when Harden stopped passing and continued chucking. You know, like in most other losses we had. Or like that losing streak last year.
Howard needs to be the guy leading the team, imo. All offense should go through him first. Take tonight for example, he was 9 for 16 and having a pretty good night, but these guards we have just try and dribble the air out of the basketball and jack up contested shots. You can't beat good teams playing this way.
