Dude is a mental midget, thats his biggest problem. Pains me to say this, but his demeanor and lack of killer instinct reminded me of T-Mac.
Overall George may be better. From the offensive side, I think Harden carries a bad team much more than George. But, on a good team, George will probably help you more. He's a guy that plays in a system, knocks down 3s, has a clutch factor, plays good defense. Put him on a bad team though where he's forced into constant ISO situations bc his team mates can make shots, than he wont be as effective.
I don't remember T-mac totally being b****ed by one player so badly like Harden has against George. I'm starting to feel Harden doesn't have the mentality to lead a team to a championship or anywhere close.
Every player have a bad game, its on coach to recognizes that and make decisions on the rotation. McHale just has too much faith on Harden even when he having a bad game. Leaving Harden in there to stink up is what cause us the game. Also Indiana was awesome tonight!
Pretty much, Also Harden TRAINS with George in the offseason. Just because Yao outplayed Dwight doesn't mean that he was better than Dwight. People are just ready to crown PG because they have "Grass is greener" syndrome. I mean people were saying he was better after Harden missed his first few shots in the first frackken quarter...and have been crowning him since like his 3rd game in the season.
All I"m saying is Harden is more of an ISO player, more gifted with creating his own shot. George plays better in a system and does almost everything well instead of being exceptional at scoring only. The thread is to discuss and compare these two so that's what I'm doing.
Gotta keep perspective guys. Harden still has better all around numbers on the year than George. They were dead even in the first half. In the third George got loose for a couple buckets and that was the difference head to head wise. It's quite clear however that the pacers are a better team than the rockets. Harden was shut down tonight, George did well defensively, but he had a lot help behind him as well.
Iggy has b****ed him up pretty good too. Harden is what he is, a Gilbert Arenas/Manu Ginobili mix who relies heavily on getting to the line to score points and doesn't play any defense. Hopefully, we get Kevin Love on this team. Get it done Morey!
Yup, funny how all the post when this thread got started was Harden by a long shot, now after one game it's Paul George and Harden Sucks.
Indiana as a team playing better and being at home has a little something to do with the individuals stats between the two also. This can easily be a 180 degree turn around once they come to Houston. Rockets are just a totally different team at home and away.
Yeah I forgot about Iggy. Harden will probably get shut down again by him the next time they play GSW. What frustrates me is Harden allows these players to totally take him out of the game to the point of being useless. You can't do that if you're a so called franchise player.
Lets keep perspective here. Paul George owned Harden tonight the same way Hakeem pimp slapped D-Rob in the 95 WCF's. These two guys are both great players, but Paul George is simply a better all around basketball player than Harden.
