This is about match ups. In this situation you would want a creating PG like Dragic, Lowry, or Lin on the floor versus Beverley with the starting unit. The main reason being that without Harden, Parsons can't do it by himself.

And Lin would do fine. He would get the ball along with Parsons because Harden has to pass out when he's covered by a defender like Paul George. Also, you don't have multiple Elite defenders on the same team. And their best defender will always be on Harden.

This gives players like Parsons and Lin more room to attack and distort the defense.

Just like you don't put Beverley on a 6'10" forward, there's a time and a place where Beverley on the floor makes less sense than others. And against a team like the Pacers is one of them.

Bev's D is overrated.

Doesn't Lin have a slightly higher defensive rating than Bev?

In the Spurs / GS game Pop called a time out just 2 min. in and absolutely lambasted Danny Green for crashing the offensive boards and allowing the fast break.

In Houston when Bev crashes the offensive boards, everyone one just smiles and says "oh look, he can jump and fight for the rebound, what effort and hustle... great player!" LOL.

I thought Howard, Harden, and Parsons were the stars to carry the team? what happened? Lebron without BOsh would still compete hard against the Pacers any night. Asik has been a failed signing so far. Lin is injury prone this year.

Uh, those two are key bench players.

Our bench is above average when healthy. A better swingman and we'd be good, a happy Asik, too.

the rockets bench looks pitiful when nobody is there to penetrate. The shooters like Casspi and Garcia cant hit anything now. They looked better on the kickouts..when that was happening. If they have to create their own shot, then ..well we see what happens.

WRONG... This game is all about Harden taking a game too personal...

Harden is like 3 for 20 and still jacking up shots even Hubie pointed this out.. Harden has to learn how to impact a game without having to score. Harden went back to his old ways of doing his Steve Francis impression of holding the ball and then jacking up a shot.

The Rockets were playing pretty good in the 1st quarter and Howard was actually having a decent game until Harden started to freeze him out. Once Harden started playing selfish the disease passed on from one player to another.

Players such as Harden and Cassipi have to learn how to play team ball on both ends of the court. This has nothing to do with bev not creating plays for himself...

The way this team is set up they really don't need a player to play one on one if they play team ball.

So for you guys to keep hollering bev this and bev that is ridicules...

I guarantee you if bev is playing with Harden, you guys will be *itching about Harden not passing the ball and Lin just standing in the corner....

O' WAIT you already have..... This game is all on Harden, he has to learn how to play team ball.

When coaches design an offense that works against say 90% of the league, I won't blame them.

Vs. Heat, Pacers, Spurs, maybe OKC--we need more. Tonight we needed more Harden. But he couldn't deliver.

We also needed more bench, but when the 3s are not falling, what else could they have tried?

Coaches game plan for the players that they have, and we don't match up with IND. Neither do 25 other teams.
