He is comparing Beverly and Parsons' paycheck and considers them better value for money, I guess he not only failed the eye test but also some logic. Jeremy at New York was an absolute end of the line bench player who was 1 game away from being waived, but created Linsanity and helped NY with a surprising winning streak and a momentum that got them into the playoffs for about $600k. By everyone's value-for-money logic, that makes Lin the best player in the entire league.

Now that Lin is getting paid, I don't think he has a problem with Beverly or Parsons trying to make a name for themselves (and deserved salaries), after all they are all friends, but it is up to coach to make everyone effective.

I like Beverly, but some people actually think he is much better than Lin at this point. I think Beverly will be the first to admit that Lin would routinely show him up every practice in shooting, directing the team, team defense and creating momentum. AB is more dangerous but have no idea why he is not playing as much (could be matchup issues).

This is one of those exact games where AB needed to start. Why is Beverly gifted the starting spot? I thought we play PGs for "fit"?
It's George Hill at the point. If this is not the perfect match up to roll the dice on ABs shooting streak, then I don't know what is. Having a 2nd playmaker out there would've released some of the pressure on Harden.

AB isn't a starter. Bev isn't even a real PG.

Harden did not play better... They both need the ball in their hand and that want work... If Harden ever figures out that he can impact the game more without scoring this team will be ok....

Right now Harden is reading and hearing too much about him being the man... He has to learn that by playing team ball on both ends of the court he can be a superstar... Right now he's reading too much of the hype about himself...

Right now coaching and a defensive minded floor general should be at the top of Morey's list.

I was talking about last year compared to this year, and you're right that may be true, but when you take another ballhandler out the starting lineup can you blame him for feeling like he has to do it all?

Neither of those are this team's main issues. The problems from the beginning of the season are still here.

This quote make no sense and this is why the game went the way it did tonight... I keep preaching this and a lot of the other old timers will preach the same....

Harden has to play team ball.. He has to figure out that he can't get caught up in the hype...

As good of scorer that Dominque Wilkins was he didn't win squat... As much as I love Bernard King he didn't win squat... Even Jordan had to learn that you have to play team ball on both ends of the court....

Your great players know one important thing and Kareem was great at this and Jordan and Hakeem learned this in the later stage of their career... Get your teammates involved in quarters 1 - 3 and then you don't have the pressure on you when you take over in the 4th... Kareem was freaking awesome at this... Once he got his teammates involved it made it difficult for the other team to double and triple team him.

harden has to grow up and mature...

This is the biggest reason why Rockets will not win a title. Heroball don't work in playoff. If it doesn't work for LBJ/Wade, it will not work for Harden/Howard.

What does this have to do with anything?

AB "instant offense" can drop 30 points any given night. He can spot 3s and he can drive to the rim. The only downside is his defense, but we're playing against George Hill. Another scorer is more valuable than a defense only player against the Pacers.

Neither Lin nor Bev are the answer here

Both are below average PG's. We need a real PG. Even a George Hill would suffice
