Going with the GF tomorrow night at the Wortham Center but I'm not sure what I'm suppose to wear. Has anyone been before? Any ideas?

P.S... Spare me the jokes, it's a relationship... COMPROMISE :)

You can wear a suit or a nice pair jeans/slacks with a button up. It's semi-formal at these kind of events although I've seen people dress down.

The Nutcracker is pretty casual due to holiday traffic that doesn't generally frequent the ballet, you'll see people in all kinds of dress. With that said, suit it up.

Good advice. Something like Dockers and a button up shirt, and a sport coat, or simply slacks, a nice shirt, and whatever is the nicest thing you have in the way of a coat. In Austin, I'd say Dockers and a nice shirt, with maybe a sweater. Suits aren't wildly popular here, except around the Capital.

I hope you get lucky! ;-)-

    Lol.

I say you dress up rather than down.

Most people dress up for the ballet but you'll see jeans and even shorts. I feel like I've done enough with a button down and slacks.

Button-down long sleeve, dress slacks, sweater vest and either a tie or a blazer.

I don't know. How much do you like the guy?

But really, at least a sport coat and slacks.

tailored suit and an open dress shirt, the asik;or go with the professor harden look but you will need a bow tie.

200 for the nutcracker is a little too much for me/ a christmas carol however, that's worth every penny at the alley theater .
