I think y'all already know that "It's so cold in the D" so obligatory <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/aktLRiWXfqg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I have seen some of the most appalling things on the internet and been barely bothered by it, but there is one video that still haunts me to this day and turned me into a 5 year old kid. It was the video of the fur market in china where the animals were skinned alive and you could see them struggling to breath and whimpering after all their skin had been removed. I was so disturbed and angry that I just sat there and kept thinking for about half an hour. While it was extremely disturbing, I'm glad that I didn't remain ignorant towards it, because I didn't know how bad it was sometimes. I'll never buy anything made with fur. Anybody that wants to see can probably find it on reddit.com/r/gore
I've seen the cartel decapitating people. The animal skinning sounds horrible, but I don't think it can beat live beheading. Anyways, good on PETA.
Yea I have too, when I said I have seen some of the worst the internet has to offer I mean stuff like that. Believe me, it doesn't...even... come close to the skinning of animals for fur. I don't have the courage to embed it, so here is the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLcgxIGTFRs&app=desktop
I thought it was a bit disrespectful to the homeless. They're leveraging a suffering segment of humanity to shill for animals. Their PR focuses on the suffering of animals and says little about the suffering of the homeless, which to my mind is a much bigger deal. I'm glad they got the coats though.
Sorry if this is insensitive, but doesn't Detroit have 10,000's of vacant houses the homeless could take shelter in? I know they might not have electricity, but it is shelter and I doubt there are Detroit police out running people out of vacant homes very often.
