Um... yes, he's not the best player but he is clearly the leader.

He had a slow first 6 games because of a shooting slump, since then

    18.3 PPG
    4.2 APG
    53% FG
    47% 3Pt

He's gotten better every year. Some people call him a system player, but we saw what happened to the "system" when he was out. He's not a go to guy, but there is extreme value in being able to score well in the flow of an offense.

When you look at the recent champions, he as good or better than than the 3rd best player on most of them.

I hope he keeps it up and kicks it into an even higher gear! Back permitting.

Yes, he's been great. I'd say he's already a better reg season player than his prototype ever was.
(The handsome 6-10 forward with versatile game, glue-guy, #25 on the Rockets... You know who I'm talking abt...)

Man if he could get that FT% up .... he'd be in elite company shooting 50/40/90.

Parsons is definitely the 3rd best player on the Rockets. Lin is nowhere close to Parsons as a player and nowhere near as consistent.

Parsons has been great. His ability to continue to get better says a lot about the type of person he must be off the bball court.

Generally you don't see older college players come out and ascend like this.

Chandler Bang is the key to any success this team has. He is what makes this team click.

He isn't what "makes this team tick". He's just alot better than any of our backups.

“Chandler is our best intangibles guy,” Sampson said. “He is our glue guy. He makes it work. I have watched enough cooking shows to know that you can’t make a cake without some eggs. They are a binder. That’s what he is – he binds us together.” - Coach Sampson

By the time his career is over, he'll be the new icon for the NBA. Move over West! :)

Is he called glue guy because he's white? He's already much better of an offensive weapon than someone like Battier ever was.

Parsons is playing great and Houston fans should be happy about that. He's a fine player and potential star. I think he's 3 some stretches and 4 some stretches when Lin is playing well or they are both 3s. I think Houston has a big 4, not a big 3 that is Harden, Howard, Parsons and Lin or Howard, Harden, Lin, Parson, it doesn't really matter what order they are put in but it is 2 + 2. Two superstars or stars and 2 near stars. Some people will say Parsons is better than Lin and vice versa, but looking at all the Rockets games, they flip flop 3rd and 4th best player on the team. Some people will never think of Lin as a potential star, so be it.

Based on the positive responses, how much would his market value be when his contract expires and how does that affect our ability to trade or sign another above average player?

He would easily command 12mil/year on the market.

And there are people out there that we doubt Parsons. Seriously, open your damn eyes, there are too many games where the guy is our best player.

His numbers are inflated because of the offense this organization runs and he has zero impact on the defensive end.
