Assuming Kobe is out for the all-star game and OKC maintains the best record, Scott Brooks will probably start Westbrook. Possibly Harden.

Couldn't have said it better. Sad but true. Old body, a lot of miles on those knees. He is just a human being

I am talking about who would replace Kobe in the lineup. CP3 is assumed to take the other spot - didn't know I had to say it!

oh ok. I thought you meant he'd do westbrook and harden.

backups im expecting them to be harden, lillard, bledsoe, and curry.

What a horrifically mismanaged franchise. The sad thing is that they will still be talked about and regarded as a free-agent haven due to their clout with the media and their stature as a major market. I'm not big on schadenfreude, but I'm loving what's happening to that team and fan-base right now.

    This is terrible.

    Hope Kobe can recover.

If not, I hope the Lakers can keep exciting players like X-man, Johnson, and Swaggy P.

Maybe, just maybe the team can be as awesome as the Nick Van Excellent crew until the next great owner/ star player.

    Bleed purple and gold, always.

Kobe is a cash cow, even if he only plays 1/2 the season. Without him, a lot of "Laker fans" would defect to the Clippers. Gotta have a superstar on the team, even if it's only symbolic.

Good point. Farmar is out another week with his torn hammy. They could bring someone up from D-League or (gulp!) ask Meeks to initiate the offense.

They will become the fastest pace team in the league to try and hide the problem.

I know this might sound crazy but I think they might be able to win some games now.

Likely, he will be out for 6 months or longer, a good news for the LA fans.

Karma getting Kobe for trying to break MJ's record through sheer number of career games played.

    You're on notice, Lebron. (kidding)
