I think it would be hysterical if you two got into an all out forum brawl.

Houston will hold on to Omer Asik for now and one guy rumoured to be in the trade at one point was Thaddeaus Young from the Sixers and he has now requested a trade to leave the Sixers

well to be fair, his "its all in gods hands" attitude also got him off the bench a day before getting cut, into linsanity, 2 SI covers, and 100 most influential people in the world, and a 25mil contract. how'd that work out for him? how soon we forget... just like my 2 years old son - "i never get to have any fun!" just right after coming back from a birthday party. we want it all, and we want it now!

and really, how are we so certain that he hasn't asked for a trade himself? trusting in god doesn't mean you don't explore options on improving your situation. if i'm stuck in a bad job that i'm not fit for, it's perfectly ok to look for another job while working your butt off at your current job. i'm not sure why people get the impression that christians just sit on their asses and wait for the pen to automatically update their resumes.

we know he wants to start, no question about it. how are we so certain that he hasn't already talked to morey (or his agent) about trading him? putting him on second team and give him 30min a game and most importantly, minutes without harden has given him more opportunities to score, and he has done well up until the injuries piled on. how do we know that the reason he's motivated isn't because he wants to be traded and showcase his value? just because he's playing his butt off in his current role doesn't mean he's ok with it, happy with it, and doesn't wish for the situation to change.

let's not assume he's some weak ass yes-man that accepts whatever life throws at him. he would've been working on wall street by now if that was the case.

    We don't like quitters.

One can be forgiven for many a flaw. Quitting is not one of them.

No, only reason I mentioned it is because someone posted that I should go watch the games with a scout since Im apparently clueless...and I can say I watch the games with someone that is more familiar with the game than any scout.

Morey won't be happy unless he gets a lopsided deal. The other GMs aren't as dumb anymore.

Eh I wouldn't call that a good offer at all. I just wouldn't call it a bad offer either. We get two players who could play and contribute but there almost untradable come deadline. Brandon bass is good I actually like him but he's declining and will continue you to and his contract is not ideal. Lee is a good filler although he's not a prize he's a good sixth man we could of used. All in all I think asik is worth more in my personal opinion.

So it's come out that Thad Young requested a trade weeks ago. Morey should be on the phone with Hinkie right now to see if he can get Thad and Hawes for Asik.

No way it would ever be Hawes and Thad...it's one or the other. Morey wants a draft pick along with one of them and Sixers arent willing to give it up.

I would be kind if suprised if Morey declined a deal for Thad and hawes for asik. I highly doubt sixers even put Thad and hawes in the same category

He could say forget the pick and give us both. Just a thought.

I think Morey has been on the phone.

Sixers aren't going to give up both. And certainly won't give up a pick.

Morey was probably asking for too much and Hinke unwilling to oblige.

If Superman were to take an arrow to the knee
    -God forbid-
Having Omer to play will be a blessing

It could mean the difference in 4 or 5 games over an ankle sprain.
