I hope not, but I understand, he needs to be playing somewhere to develop, not sitting on the bench.

Maybe we can get a future first for him.....I still think he has massive potential - but needs playing time to get wherever he is going - and that is not happening here, ATM.

He has to go somewhere that NEEDS his offense. The PF and backup C spot was up for grabs to anyone who could rebound, play average defense, and (for PF) knock down a corner 3.

I understand T. Jones made a huge leap in his development, so there's no shame there but D-mo has really failed to show that he's worth putting on the court in lieu of our other options. He reminds my of Chris Mihm who could also free himself for those smooth post moves but didn't connect enough to be a focal point on offense.

Even if D-mo reaches his max potential (a poor rebounding Al Jefferson) i'm not sure how great that really is.

We need a mean ass coach to get the bench players in check. next up, Ronny brewer requesting a trade. This is getting out of hand.

I heart DMo. I hope he'll play for a team/coach that will develop him.

This organization seems to be doing a remarkably good job at alienating its players.

If we put this package together...

    D-Mo, Asik, Lin

    + throw in some of...

T-Jones, Beverley, Brooks, Parsons, Casspi, picks

We might be able to get a decent return.

What should they have done differently?

Signing Dwight Howard was a no brainer and every team in the NBA has players that wished they could get on the court.

I'm not sure what the organization had done to either of them.

He has shown nothing. I doubt we could get a decent second rounder for him.

Sometimes you hit - sometimes you miss. DMo is a miss.

Daryl brought in good players, and the scrub coaches blew it. or it's Daryl's fault to let them blew it.

D-Mo has a sense of entitlement. He hasn't earned more PT.

It might just be the downside of Morey's philosophy of always drafting the best player available and relying on trades to rationalize the roster. Motie was drafted into a PF glut and he lost the battle for minutes. So now he wants Morey to rationalize the roster with a trade.

This must be part of the agent's reaction to Rockets pulling out of trade talks for Asik. Harkening to another thread where I argued Asik would profit from reducing his trade value -- Motie's agent just undermined Motie's trade value. Why would he do that if it was true that high trade values make trades more likely?
