Omer Asik Trade. Rumors, Tweets and Updates. (Deadline Dec 20th)

Since no one else has said it: I do not like any of the options reported out there. I know Millsap is the better out of all but he's not the answer. Horford could be though.

No they won't be available for tommrrow a game. Maybe the next game after that though. I don't know for sure but that's usually how it works

 

Driver seat :

Hmmmm... 3 seed in the East, or 8th seed.

Unless they are trading Rondo too, there is no reason for them to not make that hump from borderline team that is too good to be bad, and not good enough to compete.

The deal is a no-brainer for Boston as far as I'm concerned. Oh, and Asik guards Hibbert really, really well, and can really help shut down the paint against the Heat. Not saying they will beat them ever in the next decade, but if they can bring in a little more talent around Rondo/Asik & co. they can be a very good team in the East.

 

Morey is one smart operator. It's just good business to stick to a deadline for something like this.

If he's already met his reserve price (minimum), then it would reduce his credibility in future negotiations if other GM's can't take his deadlines seriously.

GM's need to 100% believe DM that when he says he's going to get a deal done that he means it, otherwise they won't take his time frames seriously. Even if it ended up costing us a bit on this trade, it will pay dividends on future trades.

 

We need a great wing defender so James won't have to guard other teams best wing player. This will give James a big break and a good push for MVP. Young would be the best fit for the team, I really hope we get Young.

 

Who cares if the players will be available anyway since they suck and Morey is only taking them for the lesser pick!

 

Like I said before, why would you say it out loud in the first place. Every team is holding back and we are looking like the desperate ones. Jeezuz chryst, now Morey's ego is he can't go back on his word...smh. We will settle for garbage then.
