A troll took you seriously. Hahaha. Time to research this guy. I bet his IP address is going to give him away and clutch bans all of his accounts! Go back to lurking! Nice troll job.
Morey has assembled a formidable team with what he had. But I don't know how much of it has been luck. Remember he almost destroyed the Rockets for the foreseeable future by trading for Pau Gasol and almost signing Nene to a max contract. If the league hadn't rejected the Gasol trade where would the Rockets be right now? David Stern saved Morey's behind.
Gasol and Nene are complementing pieces, both of them are solid players all around so playing them together should've given us a really good front court, in fact Chad Ford said we would've had the best FC in the league after the trade went down. When Nene got injured after he signed for near max that would've meant we would've had a top pick in the 2012 draft. Is the team better now than if the trade has pushed through? Absolutely, but IMHO DM's strategy of collecting assets is a sound one, and we would've had a good team even if the Paul trade didn't happen.
I'm embarrassed for all of us if you are part of the Rockets fanbase. Good lawd. I reread through your original posts where your logic went out the window. I'm not sure why this thread was bumped, but in hindsight, you have to give much more credit to DM than you did in the past. Things are much different on this roster now. It's completely different than when you first posted this hot garbage. Here's the problem: you make a lot of assessments of this team based on names on a paper. When you take team chemistry into account, the infrastructure of a team is much more complex than putting big names on a roster. This tells me that you haven't played basketball, except for some intramurals at the YMCA. Your understanding of the team is imprisoned to names, some stats and personal bias. You need to consider how all of these parts are now functioning together and how the pieces got here. Morey led that charge after years of busting his ass. Give him the credit he deserves for having 2 top 10 players in Htown again. Be an armchair GM for NBA2k14 and let the real GMs go to work.
EQ also means Emotional Quotient, as opposed to Intellectual Quotient (IQ). Basically, intelligence about emotions. About human relationships, your own relationships; how well do you work and play with others.
They think you and I are the same person. Not too many neurons firing around here as you can see or straight up demyelination.
Just because you are a self proclaimed AAU coach makes you no expert. I played AAU ball in HS 11 years ago. I understand the differences between coaching and playing but that's a whole different subject. Managing this team is what I question, not the coaching and not normally the effort (even though our effort has been questionable as of late-I blame Morey for that btw). I do give Morey some credit for scouting James Harden, but come on....was that really that hard to do? I think we will soon find out that he's no wizard, anyone can hire competent individuals and delegate important duties such as scouting international/college/nba players and take credit for it. I see it everywhere on a daily basis, and it won't change with him. I believe it's championship or bust for this team and please anyone dare to say something like "your expectations are too high" and see who ought to get burned. I hope we get that third star quality player (games will be fun to watch nevertheless) but once we fail (I pray that we don't) will you begin to question Morey? Probably not, and I can care less.
